Is wanting honesty the biggest lie in our society?

Do you want honesty or do you want it sugarcoated in the bullshit glaze? I have noticed that when the truth/honesty isn't easy to hear it brings out people's immaturity and maybe even true colors, something else I've noticed is that wanting honesty is one of the biggest lies within itself in our society because people don't want the truth when it hurts, they only want it when it makes them happy and that is technically them living in a fantasy if someone gets to choose what truth they can pluck out of their life, it's like filtering out information with importance out of their lives, from what I have observed I've realized that some even complain or question about why their lives are missing certain things that would bring them happiness but are quick to shut someone out for making an honest remark on something when that person could've had the purest intentions, I think a lot of people have an obsession of trying to twist reality into something they want it to be but don't realize that the lack of the truth is what's keeping them stuck in the situations they are stuck in, this is a deep topic, the titanic is at a high point from how deep this is but ask yourselves this, when was the last time you were able to give someone a painful truth and they accepted it for their own well being?

You got to learn how to be honest without being too honest. Like never lie to a woman, but at the same time, don't give the complete truth... most woman cannot handle that. When find one that can, then know she is special.

Like when you meet a woman, and she is hot and sexy and you to are dating... yes you want sex. Like that is prime motivator, and women not that. So do not play it off like it doesn't matter to you, because that is a lie.

But at the same time, you are not trying to jump straight into a commitment, either just because you want to get laid. So, in my opinion a truly honest, sincere and genuine man would say something like this...

" I am not going to lie and act like I do not find you attractive. That matters to me and its important. At the same time, I cannot say I am looking to jump straight into a committed relationship. Because for me commitment is goal and that is something I truly want to achieve with woman, but it takes time to really filter through all that and come to a place that where we both feel comfortable and safe enough to make that commitment.

Now am I dipping the tip? Hell yes, I am, but none of it was the complete truth, and none of it was lie. By and large women are just test you with these types of questions, and that response I just gave you, will be an indicator to them that you are person who poses a certain level of maturity.

If she says your full of shit, then you tell her thanks for being honest with me, I hope you have a nice life. Seriously no matter how sexy she is, if she response to that in negative way... move on it is not going to happen, and she is one not being honest with you, the process or the facts.

Personally I just let things happen naturally, I'm not gonna sit there and start telling her directly or indirectly that my dick gets hard when she should know that by default, the truth is that in the beginning of a relationship, even tho I have sexual attraction I won't make it clear because it's not necessary because both should assume that the person has sexual attraction to the opposite gender although with this generation i can see why it's debatable on making such things clear lol

I agree with you trust me... but if the attraction is there, why not be open about it. You not being open about it is not honest, sincere or genuine... you are just assuming something that is apparent to you is apparent to her. So by not communicating that or expressing that, you honestly just leaving it up to her to figure out... and honestly women do not think like men, so you should never assume she is in the same place as you. And if you honestly wanted to know how she felt, you would dip that tip in the bullshit glaze and man up and communicate with her on an emotional level... even though emotionally she might be on another plain.

I can't tell you how many times I've MANed up to open up about my emotions and it blew up in my face, the most recent didn't even give me time to explain myself just full on blocked, I can admit I didn't open it clearly but some time to respond would've been nice, there's also plenty of times I've opened up and they ended up losing interest in me, I've noticed that "Man-ing" up with emotions is a lose situation for a man, it's funny tho cause I know how to manipulate women but I just don't do it cause I believe in fantasies, I learned tactics from some heartless players but I have a moral mindset which stops me from doing so, the more they do me dirty tho the more I'm open to the idea tbh, the only thing I'm holding on to now is that it's only the western girls that are fucked up in the head and that women in foreign countries might match my preferences when it comes to morals and patience and etc.

I don't know what the biggest is but I can agree with you that most people don't want true honesty unless it either reassures their emotions or isn't so serious that it will negatively affect them.

Now I tend to test the waters with people. Like I'll mention my truthful perspective in a question form so that I can see how they handle truths being brought up. If I see that their defense is put up very strongly then I won't voice it any further because it will likely just piss them off & they'll be immature about it instead of having a more scientific or reasonable view.

No I’d say that people want honesty but it is interwoven into other desires such as love and safety and trust. Being blunt to a strangers question may carry risk as you haven’t established trust and they will question your motivations. Being 100% honest with a small child isn’t safe many times as the information is not what they need. But in a mature and loving relationship with someone you respect and have built an understanding with the vulnerable and raw honestly given answer must be provided.

People want honesty, so long as it doesn't f*** with thier whole belief structure. People see the world how they see it regardless of how wrong that might be they don't want that view changing. So if you tell them something the rocks that whole belief structure then they have to re-examine things. And they don't want to do that. Most people would rather go on living a lie. Because it's comfortable to them.

So to answer your question. They only think they want the truth. Whether they actually do is another thing.

Yeah coming from high trust society we had to be specifically taught that Americans expect you to lie in certain situations like if you are asked How are you? after your pet dog died yesterday and your car just begun leaking coolant fluid, you are expected to say Oh I'm fine and direct honesty can be seen as insulting.
