Does the Bible really teach that we must respect others to be respected?

The bible says you must respect others to be respected, and this means respecting their feelings, their fears, their vulnerabilities, their good intention, their compassion, their intelligence, their problems, their struggles, their misfortune, their needs, their value, their desire, their preferences, and their choices.

1 Samuel 2:30
New International Version

30 “Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honour me I will honour, but those who despise me will be disdained.

Now, many Christians do not understand that respecting God involves respecting God’s people as well, and also, those that desire or are trying to become God’s people.

Does the Bible really teach that we must respect others to be respected?
