Why non religions people don't think that intrusive thoughts are from the devil?

Because they believe there are no metaphysical forces at work and believe that existence can be explained in terms of purely physical forces.

To me, there is a great mystery to existence, but if you're not in that place you will not understand. It's like wasting your breath trying to convince Dawkins. He will always give the same reply, ie 'you're delusional and have no evidence for that'.

Well tbh i easily can become an atheist.. to get rid of the label delusional and so on... but that still doesn't answer me to the rational question from where are then the intrusive thoughts if not from the devil as that was the initial option

Well, the idea of the devil is not helpful anyway. At least if it is based in fear.

To me we have three levels.
Religious superstition, like the religions of old. Sure they were right in a lot of respects, but a lot of fear and lack of understanding.
Atheism and materialism. Right in a lot of ways, too. But just wrong. One reaches the end of that road, life being nihilistic and failing to explain a lot. But least there is no superstition.
Third way is spirituality and a personal relationship with God. Of course, one still goes wrong on this path, ie spiritual ego. One becomes genuinely alive again.

wait i believe devil is real but only bad thoughts are when tempts to sin. i do beleeve religion and STILL don't think that intrusive thoughts are from the devil. WE NATURALLY get distracted. memories plans and worry.

Mine come from disregulation in cortisol levels. Higher the stress, the more dopamine gets dumped, which makes dopamine receptors more sensitive, which causes smaller and smaller triggers to begin that cycle again. That causes anything from divergent thoughts from my baseline thought process to a full psychosis episode. There, full explanation.
