You can be grateful for your life and still want to improve it. You can appreciate what you have while working toward what you don't have yet. Those two things can exist together ❤️
Maybe you're frustrated with your job, while someone else is desperately hoping to find employment.
Maybe you're tired of your small apartment, while someone else is dreaming of having a safe place to call home. 🏡
Maybe you're annoyed by your family's little habits, while someone else wishes they could sit around a dinner table with their family again.
Maybe you're unhappy with your appearance, while someone else would be grateful just to wake up feeling healthy
Maybe you're tired of the routine you've been living, while someone else is hoping for the stability and peace that you've started taking for granted.
And that doesn't mean your problems aren't realb ut sometimes we become so focused on what is missing that we stop noticing what is already beautiful 🌹
Your annoying little routine might be the stability someone has been searching for.
Your imperfect family might still be something someone else would give anything to experience.
So maybe the goal isn't to stop wanting more
Maybe it's to stop believing that having more is the only thing that will make us happy.
Keep growing. Keep dreaming. Go after the better job. Save for the bigger house. Fall in love. Travel. Build something. Become the person you want to be. ✨
But while you're doing all of that, don't forget to look around occasionally and say:
“I actually have some beautiful things in my life already.” ❤️
And if you're going through a difficult season right now, please don't think this means you should simply “be grateful” and ignore your problems. Keep going. Ask for help. Make changes. Take your time
Sometimes life gets better slowly, not all at once 🥰🌹🙏
