Search Results: reality check for guys

I recently reconnected with a guy I was starting to date over a year ago. We only managed a few dates as he was studying for his masters at the time so we never took it any further.

We have since met up for a date and realise the attraction is still there for both of us.. But... He has made it clear that he is attracted to me and wants to intimate, but also states that he is looking for "good times, not long times ".

He messages me everyday to check in how I am and obviously we talk about Sex and also things going on in our lives /during the day etc. which confuses me as he obviously wants me on his mind a lot.

I feel like he checks in with me and appears to generally care about me as a person equally as much as talking about having Sex with me but I'm am agonising over whether to do it given his outlook.

I admire his honesty up front but it puts me off that he may not be open to the idea of wanting more that getting it on in he bedroom.

Women are always bombarded with the reality that guys don't want to think about relationships before going into Sex as it scares them off but I like him and confused what to do. I'm undecided whether I want to have a relationship with him specifically but I don't like the idea of him closing off the thought of the idea before anything has happened!

Any thoughts/comments welcome?

When I was 19 I broke up with my first long term boyfriend. He was 22. That was in 2009.

I know I hurt him a lot but the reality was that for me, after a year I wasn't happy, he was graduating and there was no where for the relationship to go. So I broke up. I moved on. I established distance.

Since I went to school out of state we never were geographically close and there wasn't much chance of contact afterwards.

But two years ago he messaged me talking about some interest he remembered me having. I didn't answer. I felt what was the point?

Now six years after we broke up he has messaged me twice this week. The first one was simply " if you get this call me." Then his phone number

This morning it's "smh [shaking my head]. Why do you hate me so much? ..." (I haven't opened the message only checked the preview)

Do I reply to him and tell him I'm not interested? I want him to be well and be happy but we live hundred of miles away. Its not my fault if he's unhappy with his situation. And I don't want to take responsibility for his feelings. I feel like there's nothing we have to talk about and I don't want to feign interest in someone I've moved on from or open the doors for any false hope. I don't want to be the bad guy again and tell someone I don't love them and I don't want to be their friend.

Do I reply or do I keep ignoring?
