I have been in a Casual Relationship with a girl for the past 2 months. The Casual Relationship has been sexually "exclusive" dates between us. A couple of weeks ago she admitted to me that she wasn't dating anyone else. I told her I wasn't dating anyone else either.

Then she told me that before she met me she had applied to some fellowships out of state halfway across the country for her Occupational Therapy Post Graduate Degree program. She doesn't have to do it but it would benefit her career in the long run. She said she didn't expect much out of our Casual Relationship that she requested. Then she started crying and said that ever since we started dating her feelings have changed. We agreed that we both didn't want to date anyone else before she found out whether she was accepted 6th months from now. We also have agreed to continue dating for the next 6 months, We have an "exclusive" relationship but because of the uncertainty of what she will decide for her future, she doesn't want to put a label on it.

In the meantime, She and I have started introducing each other to our friend groups. We have told our friends that we are "dating" or "seeing" each other. Still, she doesn't want to have the "exclusive" label. But she keeps progressing things in this direction since we first started dating and having sex over the last 9 weeks. As a matter of fact, we met on a dating site and she has even gone as far as to suspend her dating site profile and told me that she doesn't want to date anyone else.

What should I do?

Should I advise her to go if it comes to a decision? Is a long distance relationship something that is possible for a whole year without sex with someone else or cheating just based on human desire and need of affection? Should I just leave on good terms in 6 months, move on and see where things are at when she comes back?

Things are going so well guys! I am scared because I think she might be "The One". Help!

My best friend broke up with her long-term boyfriend, whom is also my friend. He told her that he loved her kinda early on while dating (she was his first for basically everything which I think caused this). He tells me he thought he was in love because he didn't know what it felt like but that he didn't really fall in love until later. I don't know if I believe him but let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Most importantly, it was before she thought she loved him. I think it was all downhill from there. I know both of them pretty dang well and I know they're perfect for each other. I created a poll to see if anyone agrees before I say anything to either of them. Also, like 4 or 5 months before they started talking she had been heartbroken and was an absolute wreck. I assume she built up some walls emotionally which made her hesitant to fall deeply for someone again.

In my experience girls are not attracted to guys who chase, doesn't matter how compatible they may be (which they seem so compatible it makes me sick/jealous when I hang out with them lol). He was just about always the one doing the chasing it seemed. Because she knew he loved her and he put her on a pedestal before she even thought she loved him, I think her feelings weren't able to further develop. In other words, she knew she could have him at the snap of her fingers so it was hard for her to be attracted to him. Also, I think the pressure of feeling she needed to reciprocate made it even harder for her on top of what happened in her last relationship. They weren't exclusive the first year when he wanted to be the entire time (surprise surprise) but they were the second year. in my opinion, I think space was what they needed for many reasons. Each time he'd remind her how much he cared, however he did it, it would just push her further away as girls are only attracted to lovey doveyness if they're really into the guy. Which, based on a lot of things but mainly timing, she wasn't. Thoughts?
