I’ve been seeing this girl Selina for 2 weeks now. We’re not official and have only gone on one date but it was with a group. Her best friend Pam seems to like me too, but she might be testing me.

We all go to the same church. I usually sit on the right side in the 4th row from the front. Selina usually sits in the front with the praise team and Pam sits in random places.

Last service, Pam gets to church before me and sits in my spot. I look at the row in front but I see a purse blocking 3 seats so I sit in the 4th row a few seats down from Pam. As church starts filling up, Pam grabs the purse, looks at me, and says, “Guess church is gonna be packed today”. Then she moves all the way next to me.

Selina goes up to sing during song service and constantly looks over at us. Pam keeps brushing up against me and singing in my ear and I keep scooting away from her.

Then after service, Pam starts playing with her hair and asking me questions about my friends and future travel plans. I keep it brief and go find Selina.

As I said before, they’re best friends. Is Pam trying to test my loyalty to Selina? Or does she like me too and is trying to win me over? If Pam likes me, how can I make her respect me & Selina even though we’re not official yet? If she doesn’t like me, is she testing me and how can I get her to stop? I do not want to deal with her annoying behavior every week at church if she keeps this up.

When I respond to a post that involves a picture of a girl with tattoos, I usually say "I have never seen a girl who became more attractive because she got a tattoo." (And I've never seen a guy who became more handsome because he got a tattoo.) Almost every time I do that, someone else replies and tells me that I am stupid and have no right to hold such an opinion. Why? . . . Why do you get angry when someone says they don't like your tattoos?

Here's something I was just interested in getting opinions on.

I was never really fond of my body hair. I usually keep my chest and armpits clipped. Not quite shaved, because that gets itchy, but clippers on the lowest setting to remove the hair. Especially in the armpits.

When I was younger, I would shave my legs on occasion, and people like my parents would express some concern. "You know that's more of a girl thing, right?" Though mostly in my mind, it didn't seem right to prefer something in women that I don't do myself. Which is interesting because I don't really mind women who have a bit of hair on their legs. I just think it looks better shaved.

Today, I shaved my forearms. Not just with clippers but with a razor. I just wanted to give it a try, and I kinda like how it came out, myself.

But honestly, I don't hold strong opinions on it. If I'm dating a girl who likes men with some extra hair, I don't mind growing it out. I like the idea of looking good for my SO.

The main exception is probably the face. I keep what is probably 2 weeks of facial hair. Mostly because I really like the definition it adds to my face, and how I can kind of sculpt my facial structure by how I trim it.

But yeah, I just thought it would be interesting to see what women prefer. Or men for that matter. I imagine it differs by political alignment and urban vs rural.

I’m 41 and I’m still in excellent shape. Reason being I exercise daily and I usually stick to a very healthy diet.

Anyway I became more self conscious about not showing my body off in pics or in public by my mid 30s. I don’t really feel comfortable going shirtless even at a beach/pool.

I do have one shirtless pic showing my abs off but it’s never something I will show a woman right away. I usually will show it once if she shows me a few suggestive pics (I don’t like nudes tbh but it’s nice to see what kind of body she has). Definitely not something I keep on social media though

Anyway I am well aware of the “creep” element guys my age have to watch out for. We got a lot less leeway vs guys in their early 20s on all of this.

But at the same time I’m wondering if I’m sometimes shortchanging myself by keeping an attractive asset I still have hidden. Is there a way to let a woman know about this without looking immature/creepy?

And yes I am well aware how women care about personality, drive, humor, money etc. Don’t need a lecture of on that. But this is one thing that can make me go from a 7 to an 8 on a pure physical attraction scale. But if done wrong it can look very bad.
