So I've never been in a relationship or had any romantic experiences with a guy, the most I've had are fictional crushes lol. The thing with crushes is that every time I have found out a guy has a crush on me I always ice him out, I don't know why I just do - I get awkward, I don't know how to flirt and I kinda avoid them until they stop having feelings for me.
Recently there's this guy I've met through friends. He is so cool! Weirdly he strangely meets most of the criteria I would look for in a boyfriend, he's extremely smart and well-versed about many societal topics, and I could listen to him talk for hours without getting bored - please note that I don't have a crush on him, I see him right now as a friend as we have only met 4 weeks ago.
Every time we have had an interaction I leave blushing, maybe its because I'm not used to male attention- he leans on me a lot, he likes to tease me, and I catch him staring at me a lot so I avoid eye contact, he said he likes my voice and likes my laugh, I'm introverted so in a lot of conversations I like to just observe but he will always find a way to bring me into conversation usually teasing me for something I do. I feel bad as I feel like I've started to ice him out and avoid him because I don't know what I should do. Over messaging, I feel like I can be my normal fun and playful self, but when it comes to seeing I get too nervous and give everyone attention except him.
Part of me doesn't understand why he has given me his particular attention when there are so many other more conventionally attractive girls around him? Im not saying I'm horrendous looking I do take care of myself and always make an effort to look nice and neat but lookswise I think I'm pretty average?
Do you think he is interested or not, and if you think he is what should i do?
