So me and a coworker both have partners, but lately (I know it’s terrible) we’ve been kind of joking around, hugging and laughing a lot together more often To me, he’s more like an annoying younger brother but when we were messaging at work this is how it went down after I made a joke that our VP was cute while taking notes:

Him: stop you’re going to make me laugh too hard, you’re wildin fr

Me: nah he’s married

Him: so what’s stopping you

Me: i don’t like competition, you won’t catch me fighting for no man

Him: ah i see so you like available guys

Me: of course, i’m on the prowl

Me: jk jk

Him: i can’t with you!!

Me: i’m worse outside of work lol

Him: i can imagine, you’d have me scared

Me: wow ok

Him: but in a good way

Him: i’m sure i’m worse

Me: well i want boss to catch me outside of work lol

Him: that sounds like fun

Him: if this is you now i can only imagine how you are outside work

Then we wrapped up our meeting and left. It’s the weekend now but i just feel confused if he was flirting or am I reading too much into it, I just don’t want to entertain it Monday when we’re back if he is flirting We’re not super close but we’re comfortable telling each other things and I would call us friends Let me know what you think

The way I see it is that you are not very happy in your relationship with your partner and neither is this coworker. Yes it is indeed flirting and that is something that should be totally avoided.

The fact that you let yourself enroll in such a flirty conversation despite being in a relationship leads me to believe that your relationship is on the verge of being over because flirting simply means

Now you and I very well know what is meant under a "deeper relationship", right.
