This is what I want in a long term relationship with a woman:

- financially independent but can work with me synergistically.
- exercises and diets well on most days.
- attractive enough that I want to have sex with her on regular basis.
- open minded to debate, but fights fair. Can be opinionated but not judgmental to point she cares more about being right vs. what IS right.
- no serious addictions. I've had a few minor issues with this, but it doesn’t control my life. So I will give her leeway for some sins. But I dated an alcoholic one time and I will never do it again.

In my entire life I have only dated one girl who fit all of these. But tragically we met me at the wrong time in my life and I ended up screwing it up. I owned up to that when we broke up.

However over 95 percent of the women I’ve met before and after her date me for the following shitty reasons:

- financial support
- briefly date and then friendzone. They try to keep me as orbiter for their own conceited bullshit reasons
- they are broken and looking for a “savior”.

I just feel that as a man I’m at an inherent disadvantage because women have more room to be choosy thanks to differences in sex drives.

As a man am I really expected to “settle”. I know a bunch of girls will say “oh follow your heart”. But they are 100% clueless on what dating is like for guys.

So I've been seeing this woman for a month now and I really like her, a lot. She's shy, awkward and weird (the way I like'em 😻), she's a virgin waiting until marriage just like me
(I never thought I'd find one).
But she is chubby (not fat), and she's been wanting to lose weight. I don't really like chubby women but since she said that she's on a weight loss journey I found that more attractive, and I want to support her as her lover.
She's been struggling with her motivation and only making it to the gym 2 days a week at most and can't stick to her diet. So I tried to find her an activity or sport that she'll like and will motivate her. I first brought her to my boxing gym, be she DID NOT like it, she said it's too scary and comparative, which I can understand, boxing in a masculine ass sport and she's just a little 4'11 softy, so I asked her about other sports like jogging club (hates running) and volleyball (got hurt in middle school gym class), I don't know what women like, but then butt building came to mind and I was going to recommend it but choked it back because I don't want her to think that I only care about her looks.
Butt building is like bodybuilding for female models where they work their glutes 3 times per week and everything else 2 times a week. I thought about this because it's not competitive, it's not violent or masculine, and it gives her something to work towards. But I didn't say it because it seemed like a dick thing to recommend, but I really want her to succeed.
I remember when I left HS I lost motivation to go to the gym since I wasn't playing football anymore, and by the time I was 21 I weighed nearly 300 lbs. But my cousin introduced me to boxing, which gave me a new purpose to go to the gym. Now I'm working out 6 days a week, I have an 8 pack and jacked, and I'm one of the best fighters in my gym despite having a later start than most of them, and I just want her to have a purpose too.

Just for the record I’m 6ft. But I’m getting real fed up with women who openly obsess over a man’s height but at the same time complain about how men don’t want curvy girls.

Your height is 99.99% determined by genetics. Diet and posture can have very nominal impact on it while you are growing but other than that it’s completely out of a man’s control. And yet I constantly see women requiring this on dating apps and sites.

At least when it comes to body composition of being fat vs. skinny/fit that is something you can control. Genetics do play in to a limited extent, but they don’t 100 percent impact your body type. Dieting, exercise and healthy habits do impact your physique.
