My crush had a „stranger“ crush on me for YEARS after briefly talking once in class and used to stare or take glances repeatedly when he saw me and listened to my conversations with others. I was polite but short since I was busy that day and don’t like talking to random strangers. After that, I found out my crush looked up a few of my friends on LinkedIn. The next time I saw him he didn’t look at me like he usually did and from then on he barely looked at me anymore. A few months later he deleted the playlist he made for me a year ago.

Why did his interest in me drop all of a sudden to zero? I’m pretty sure he knew from the very beginning that I’m not the most outgoing person so seeing me being shy with strangers shouldn’t come as a surprise to him. How is being shy with strangers such a big deal for someone who has admired me for YEARS?
