To put it into perspective, most homes across the United States cost about half a million dollars and even more in my state which is California. It takes about 30 years for people to finally pay off their home, and for the Middle class, this is about the investment we have. This is the only source of wealth that gets passed onto our children.

A million dollars would be an automatic ticket into the middle class and financial security, if managed in a prudent and responsible manner.

But on the other hand, being blind is truly a metaphysical experience for humans who are sight oriented from the day they are born. Just try closing your eyes for 5 minutes and then pacing around your room without opening them. Now imagine truly not being able to open them for an entire year, how frightening and difficult it would be.

To put a year in perspective, it is almost Christmas. Imagine going blind last Christmas and not getting your sight back until barely now.

It is a huge sacrifice.

But for a million dollars, would you do it?

I would do it. Despite how hard it may be and how depressed I may become, earning a million dollars is a huge deal for a college student like me. It would be an automatic ticket into the middle class in an age where most people are struggling just to get entry level jobs.

For those of you who've never heard of it I can say it's basically like watching stuff on Coke and Popcorn but instead they have thousands of titles at your fingertips kinda like netflix but free and all the titles you want.

I've been watching all the buzz surrounding "Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them" and found myself envious of the sheer excitement all the fans are feeling. Since I love fantasy series like Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and the Disney fairytales, I expected to love Harry Potter as well. I tried reading the first book but it wasn't very well written and borrowed too many random things from other sources.

After that, I stuck to the movies, faithfully seeing each one in the theatre. But after a point, the story got sooo complicated, it was hard to really know what was going on. Everything in the Potter universe is so random, eccentric and odd. Voldemort turned out to be some weirdo with no nose, and Harry himself never became the incredible wizard we were promised. After finding the last movie disappointing, I finally admitted to myself that I was nothing more than a casual fan, despite my best efforts. While I agree that the CONCEPT of Harry Potter is fantastic, the story got kind of boring and confusing.

I just scored tickets to a special screening of Fantastic Beasts before the film opens, but I'm not even that excited for it. What's wrong with me, what am I missing? I just want to be like everyone else. This is a worldwide phenomenon and I feel so left out. :( How can I increase my devotion to Harry Potter as these people have:
