Hey y'all! So I'm currently studying abroad in Spain right now, and I'm trying to take advantage and travel to as many places as I can while I'm here. I've had plans with a girl from my home university (who's studying abroad in a different country) to meet up in Vienna from Dec. 21st--27th, and from there I continue on to London and will meet a different friend for the rest of my euro trip. Well I asked her again today if she was still coming (cause she buys all of her tickets last minute--which stresses me out), and now she told me she doesn't think she will go. I'm super annoyed that not only is she cancelling, but she's waiting four days before to tell me--and that's only because I asked to double check... but I guess that's besides the point.

I'm definitely more on the introverted side and my anxiety (clinically diagnosed--not just saying I have it cause I'm "nervous and stressed" sometimes) really does ramp up when I'm in new, unfamiliar places (especially a new country where neither of the languages I speak is the dominant language (I know odds are good of a decent majority being able to speak it though)). I really don't want to cancel the trip, because more than likely I won't get my money back for the flights AND I'd have to buy a new flight to London, and I do want to visit Vienna. However, I also don't want to be on edge the whole time, and knowing myself, choose to stay in the hostel instead of venturing out due to fear. Cause if I'm gonna have to spend Christmas alone, I'd rather do it in my apartment in Spain... I think?

Any thoughts, or recommendations?

This girl - one of my best friends, Addie got fired today. She has worked here for about 6 months. She is nice and funny to everybody and most of my coworkers liked her. For whatever reason my supervisor and floor manager started to not like her and I can’t figure out why. My general manager picks and chooses favorites and doesn’t like her. There is another girl that works here that bullies everyone and always shows up late and never gets in trouble. Addie has gotten written up 4 times. My GM and floor manager also wrote her up on Tuesday over not serving soup the right way to residents or just petty dumb shit. She also said stuff on social media about another coworker - Jake, who is well liked, ratted on her with printed proof and ( none of us were expecting him too because he usually stays out of drama). So Addie went to HR today and they told her that her whole personality and demeanor changed and her work ethic is going down the toilet and she’s not listening to anyone. Also the social media posts are unacceptable. Addie denied the social media accounts being hers saying that he’s mad because she turned down a date so this is his revenge (he blocked her on everything too) she also threw all 3 bosses under the bus in front of HR, and said that they tolerate the girl bullying her and won’t do anything to stop it (which is true) and the work environment is hostile and she was planning on quitting anyways so thanks for letting me get out of here sooner. She said she happily threw management under the bus, signed the papers, gave back her uniforms and was singing zipidoo da on the way out and flipped off the HR building. Everyone here is upset and confused as to why she got fired. Everyone liked her and is sad she isn’t here anymore and two people want to quit because it’s not the same. I am leaving at the end of the month so they will be super short staffed and I am currently the only full time employee left. I’m so upset.
