I’ve known her for a few months and I’ve always liked her. Anyway we’re close now but certain things are happening.

A friend of hers asked her what age she would date a man and then she said the age and then she asked me what age I would date a woman. Another friend of hers asked me “so what about (her name) do you like her?” and I said of course I do and then she went bright red and was clearly flattered. When another guy said he liked her she was like just “cool”.

She gets extremely jealous and has joked about not getting jealous if I talk to other women when she gets jealous. She told one of her friends we were dating as a joke when we’re not and she told me when we caught up for coffee that “this is our date (my name). You understand”.

Now she’s posted stuff on her socials that says things like when you know a guy that shares your vibe

she is extremely confident and outgoing but when she sends me pictures she hides her face

i told her I would send her some flowers and she gave me the details. Another guy said he would and she ignored him. She said it was ok that I didn’t have to send her flowers so I didn’t send them but still

she goes bright red at simple things like I sent her a gif of an angel and was like that’s you hehe and she went bright red

she copies some of my behaviour several times. I feel like copying hers but she started it

its difficult cos if I were to ask her it would be awkward so I am asking on here. Given all the info I’ve shared. Do you think she likes me? Of course I hope she does because it feels good if she did at the very least but yeah what do you think?

I’m not a simp. I was a genuine “nice guy” to women when I was younger but I got brutalized for it one too many times. I grew much more callous over the years and developed a radar for bs.

I also had a few controlling women feel confident that I would their “whipped” man. However to their surprise I proved them wrong pretty quickly and got out it fast.

Anyway if I determine if a woman has no respect for me I will cut off all association with them and never turn back. I might cut her some slack in the beginning and take a while to get to that decision. But once I make my decision I will stick with it. I will never understand women like a Don Juan but I can figure it out quickly nowadays if they respect me or not. I rather be a loner than a chump. I rather be by myself and still have self respect.

But I have a deep devil’s advocate question here. I have a few friends and family members who tolerate more abuse from their wives than they should. But they still have their marriages, companionship and sex.

Can it be worth it for some guys to be trapped in this situation given they still have a woman? I expect a resounding no response (and that’s my response as well). But it could it be the lesser of two evils?
