On Instagram, the new Miss Netherlands wrote, “I did it!” adding ” “I made my community proud and showed it can be done.” In one of her videos, before she was officially crowned, Kollé wrote, “Miss Universe asked us to describe ourselves in one word. The word I’m choosing is ‘victory,’ because as a little boy, I conquered all the things that came through my path — and look at me now, standing here as a strong, empowering, and confident trans woman.”

Kollé also wrote, “Yes, I’m trans, and I want to share my story, but I’m also Rikkie, and that’s what matters to me. Did this on my own and loved every moment of it.” The 22-year-old is now going to Miss Universe in El Salvador in December. Competition has allowed transgender women to compete since 2012. In 2018, Ángela Ponce from Spain became the pageant’s first openly trans contestant, but she did not advance to the finals.

I understand that these men who've transitioned have the right to do so and should have all the freedoms that citizens have. But I have issues with biological men who compete with biological women for WOMEN's opportunities/scholarships/sports etc.

Women have struggled to get recognized in women's sports, do not get equal pay or scholarship opportunities as men in these areas, and now biological men who take hormones to make them appear to be women, and who might have surgeries for the same effects, are taking opportunities away from women, whose opportunities have always been fewer than men's and have always been hard won.

Something is rotten in the state of transitioning. And the rotten thing is transitioned men out to prove they are women by out-doing biological women. Another version of ghettoizing women.

These transwomen haven't lived a lifetime of discrimination AS women, but are jumping on a perverse bandwagon of grabbing the few brass rings women can reach for, and in this particular case, taking them away from biological women. This is the same as the trans swimmer who's been beating women swimmers because this person is taller, has longer arms and is stronger because of the male biological build they still have.

But these former men don't seem to think this through nor understand what they are doing.

Transwomen should compete with transwomen, not try to usurp biological women's sports, contests and the like. It's not fair, nor reasonable.

If they are allowed to enter because they display beauty and not because someone is giving them special treatment for being trans, sure, I see nothing wrong with it. I just don't agree with them entering the Olympics because men are better at some sports and woman are better at some sports, and it does bring an unfair advantage.

I've seen some trans people that looked really attractive. Obviously if a female had a beard and looked like a man, it probably wouldn't be a good idea for them to enter, but still, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed.

Honestly from my observations I’ve generally seen more women support trans ideology crap vs. men. But the movement is harming real women. So why the hell do so many women (particularly leftist women) support this crap?

Take Bud Light and the Dylan mulvaney incident for example. Some leftist female marketing executive thought it was brilliant idea to use a trans influencer to promote a brand that caters towards working class white and Latino men. She thought she could proselytize Bud Light’s customers but she was catastrophically wrong. Bud light lost so much revenue from this stupidity that they are no longer even in the top 10 beers sold in the USA despite being number one for years.

However Dylan Mulvaney had tons of other sponsors from make up companies. I didn’t hear about any of those brands being boycotted by women. Why? Why do real women get behind this crap?

I almost understand people having concerns about trans women entering sport’s competitions. Cause a trans woman is biologically stronger than a cisgender woman so I get why people don’t think it’s fair.

Heck yes! Why not? Beauty pageants, (in their non-toxic form, because kids pageants can be pretty messed up), are about elegance, being a good role model, being well-spoken, embracing positive and healthy femininity, etc. If trans woman wants to project these ideals, why not, right? If anything, I'd argue that someone who's put so much thought into/connected with the concept of femininity and its benefits/ideals would be a great match for that environment.

i think they should be allowed but there can also be other beauty pageants that can have rules per their choosing. seems to me it's up to the pageant to decide their rules. perhaps there can be pageants that are inclusive and some that are exclusive. that way everyone wins

The issue I have with it is its potential invalidity and skewing of reality. To preface, I'm not stating definitively that is was invalid. But hypthetically, if the Netherlands never voted for a trans contestant, they might be subjected to assertions of transportation.

So perhaps this Trans contestant winning is not based on beauty or merit, but bad on fear or politics. In this case, not only are you depriving someone else of a rightful victory, forever changing that person's lives and stepping on all their hard work, but you're also deluding reality, claiming that someone people did not think was the most deserving was the most deserving.
