I also remember seeing earlier this year Italy decided to ban and not allow trans women from entering an Italian beauty pageant.

If it were up to me, all beauty pageants would be abolished. In my opinion it is dishonorable and disrespectful to show women as if they are at a cattle auction.

If a cis competitor feels transphobia because they lost to a transwoman, that's on the cis competitor, not on the organizers or the victor. She needs to go and process her loss, then try again the next year.

It’s their rules. They can decide to accept whoever they want. Though, right now, the novelty of being trans in a pageant seems to create an unfair advantage.

No. Here's the thing, women that have altered their body are typically disqualified for doing so in these pageants. Meanwhile a trans woman is exactly that, altered. So it doesn't make sense that we'd allow biological men to compete in women's pageants.
Most pageant girls are completely altered. Nose jobs, veneers, lip filler, extensions, boob jobs, etc. It is about beauty. They don’t look for natural beauty. If you think those girls are natural, you are completely uninformed.

I honestly dont care. Lets say, hypothetically speaking, that a guy snuck into a beauty pageant for women and rocked that dress better than literally anyone else. Would I have a problem with that? No. You are supposed to be judging beauty by some definition, not care about the gender or whatever. If a trans woman or even a man can win a woman beauty pageant then I think they fucking deserve it.
Any any LEGIT beauty contest (that is any contest where the hottest chick actually wins) this wouldn't even come close to being an issue. It'd be the same sort of issue as "should trans men be allowed to compete in professional men's sports?" Who cares? They'll never get anywhere near being able to play much less win anything.

I don't see why not; it's not like sports, where even if testosterone is equalized, a man's larger lungs and heart give an athletic advantage. It's clothing style, makeup application, and genetics.
Given the realities of physique that biology imposes, it'd be quite a coup if an MTF person actually WAS good-looking enough to win a beauty pageant.

But, those judges are just people from the area. And if that area wants to to include trans women in their beauty pageants, that's weird but so are a lot of other things. A pot for every kettle, I guess.
Depends on the judges... I've heard stories from bodybuilding pros that some had to do gay stuff to the judges in order to win... others got paid millions to stay away from the competition because they'd obviously win in every spectator's eye but it wasn't part of the judge's plan.

this might not be politically correct but i really dont think they should be allowed to. i think only bio girls should be able to. that being said got no problem with trans people, it just feels wrong to let them compete like that. especially that they've had a lot of work done to look pretty which i dont think is fair to the other girls
It's either trans women or trans men. In Italy, a bunch of trans men actually signed up in protest of the new rule, to show how backwards it was to allow them to compete but ban trans women from competing, when it's supposed to be a women's beauty pageant.
Trans women should not be allowed to compete in those pageants not that I care about them a whole lot in general. It is unfair to women and I didn’t think you could compete if you had a bunch of surgeries altering your appearance regardless. It would be cool if they did other versions of the pageants for trans women or just for men and trans men in general.

Funny thing is they always win.
It's not funny, it's being intentionally done as a political statement. If I managed to get into a dress and heels with my belly and beard, and I identified as trans, I'd still win among all of the (mostly) real, beautiful actual women, because trans trumps everything according to many people for political reasons. it's more important for them to normalize trans stuff than to be fair to the contestants.
This is why nearly every "woman of the year" award by every "mainstream" publication for the last couple of years have been trans males - because it's all a part of pushing trans ideology. It has nothing to do with the achievements of the individuals.
