How much emphasis on gender roles do you ideally want in a relationship? Who works, who does the housework, with "100" being full 1950s-60s era gender roles (the breadwinner and homemaker). Doesn't matter if you're single or in a relationship right now. Obviously, only for straight people.

I think I'd be fine with 60-40 or 80-20, with me doing most of the work and being the breadwinner. Maybe 60-40 with no kids, and 80-20 if I had kids (not that I want any).

I don't know why I went with these pictures. First ones that came to mind, I guess.

For me, the answer is "D". Yeah, most men want to lead, and most women want the man to lead. But see how I said "Most" and not "all"? Because not all men and women want traditional roles in their relationships. At the end of the day, we're all individuals.

Some happy relationships are equal, some are female-led. So I'm not advocating a total return to gender roles like the Red Pill community. But I'm also not saying that masculinity and leadership in men is toxic and that all women should want to be bosses, like SJW feminists.

For me, who leads the relationship should depend on what both parties want. So I'm kind of in the middle. Man is in charge? Okay. Woman is in charge? Okay. Neither is in charge, and both have equal power? Okay. Live and let live. That's MY personal opinion.

There is always a lot of rhetoric about equal pay and the gender pay gap with the underlying assumption being that women earn less than men due to gender discrimination in the workplace. All those claims and messages about female superiority are perfectly acceptable to society despite the harm they do to the minds and self confidence of boys growing up hearing them day after day. It raises the question of why it is not also acceptable to say men are superior, or at least better at some things. Let's take earning money as an example. Men clearly earn more money on average than women despite all the laws in place to prevent gender discrimination and ensure men and women are paid equally for the same work.

Is it time we addressed the elephant in the room and acknowledged that men are simply better at earning money than women, better at being leaders and better at executing the job responsibilities in roles like CEO?
