So I recently learned that a LOT of people will basically date a bunch of people at the same time until they find one they want to be committed to. I find this upsetting. I mean yeah when I go on a first date with someone I don't feel a commitment yet but I'm not also dating other people at the same time. I find that to be super disrespectful. If it ever happened to me and I saw a girl I had gone on a date with on a different date with someone else. I don't care if we got along super great and even planned another date I'd never talk to her again. I'd just ghost on them because I feel they deserve that.

And it makes me wonder would these people who do that be okay if they saw someone who they had a great date with and wanted to see again and then see that person on a date with a different person. Like unless they are a hypocrite then they have to be totally cool with knowing the other person also dates several people at once.

I don't know it just feels super dehumanizing to me. It's like people are nothing more than trying on clothes at the department store and just taking home the one that you liked best in the mirror.

So it's known that some women like to switch over and find a different type a guy attractive later down in life. For example in college/high school she may have been attracted to the hot, popular guy who likes to party and have fun but coming down to her late 20's and beyond want a stable, less fun guy, who has a job, and willing to commit and possibly have children in future.
Now some men who may have a chip on their shoulder for women not wanting to be with them when they were younger, prettier and more fun but are coming to them now that they have a nice career, house, and place have decided to use the beta provider game.

The beta provider game is where men either actively or passively use women's hopes and dreams of finding a reliable guy to settle down to their advantage. These women can range from girls wanting to settle down and marry now but the guy she truly wants to be with isn't ready yet so she goes for you instead to single mothers looking for a meal ticket.

The beta provider game works by going out on dates with these women and giving the illusion that you will be a good provider. Dropping hints in casual conversation that indicate that you are willing to commit, you have nice paying job, and you like kids or willing to have kids. Stuff likes this in subtle doses. The beta provider game also tends to use the nice guy persona more so that the cocky asshole that younger women gravitate towards.

The beta game is a lot slower and usually takes several dates before he can bed these women. However, once he beds these women he quickly loses their number and move onto the next.
So in summary the beta provider game is like danging a carrot of being a good provider over women's faces and using it to get sex from them. Once you get what you want you discard them and move onto the next.

Me: nerdy, skinny guy, 20yo, med school, funny enough you'll like me but not interesting enough you'll miss me much. Mostly an average joe beyond that.
Her: smoking hot 23yo, med school, pretty outgoing, finds me funny, loves when I tease her, usually is over-the-top happy to see me in particular.

We met each other because of a common friend back in April. She always laughed at my jokes and she looked to me with that kind of positive expectation, a sort of wonder in her eyes.

We kept going with our lives. But everytime we meet she shows pretty much the same interest as the day we met and overall she's a really good person.

But there are underlying problems:

1-She used to date one of my pals roughly a year and a half ago. They went out for like, 4 dates or so, but they didn't commit, and Im not clear why. He's much more interesting than me in almost every way, and while they'd barely have to see each other and he's a pretty trustworthy "bros-before-hoes" guy, I worry that she might hit it off with him again.

2-I dont have a car. College is expensive as fuck. I can't afford it right now. I worry that she might lose interest altogether since A) society still expects men to drive their dates and B) I won't be able to spend as much money as I'd like with her. My friend she used to date doesn't have any of those problems, never did.

3-Maturity. Women at this age usually have a mentality that most men only reach years after them. I feel like if I make a move she might react badly because she might think of me as a "kid" of sorts.

4-More people than I wanted to already know Im into her (always mind who's on the hallway behind you), and they might ruin it.

It's pretty clear why it might not work, or where I might fuck it up along the way. This is seriously a girl I wanna hit it off with, and while I won't feel bad if things dont go as well as I want them to, I will feel bad if I end up not even making out with her, which to me is total failure.

It's certain questions that kind of leave you wondering what kind of delusional world women are living in when they believe MOST men can get sex very easily and is one of the reasons why they can't find a guy to seriously commit.

I went up to two girl confidently and start talking to them and all the other girls started gravitating towards me from all corners of the room... I ended up with me and 3 girls in my lab group. Throughout the semester all the girls from other groups came to hang out at my lab bench and flirt with me and ask me questions and for help. The TA that prepped materials for the lab always came by to talk to me and even the female professor would treat me special. I was the big swinging dick in the room. One of the guys in the lab who was a rich frat boy got pissed off about it and actually came up to me and said "I don't get it! What the hell is so special about you?" and he started making comments about me and I blew it off with a joke and some oblivious act and all the girls giggled and we went on our way... When you're on top sure you get approached... But everyone one else is no one...
