5 Qualities My Dream Girl Must Have

For all five of you who know me on here, you know that I am a very hopeless romantic. Love is my dream and the biggest part of who I am, I would not be who I am today if not for love. Now sadly, up to this point. I have not actually been in a relationship, though I have been deeply hurt and gone through heartbreak in the past. And yet somehow I keep going on. What can I say? Love is too amazing to give up on.

All this being said, I've decided to share with you some of the qualities of my dream girl. Yes, it's unrealistic to expect to find these all in one person, but that's why it's called a dream girl hehe.

5. Her views on love are sorta old fashioned, but not exactly "traditional"

That is, she believes in one true love and committing to each other for the rest of our days and whatever, if anything, comes next, but without the traditional religious aspects. I believe that a romantic mindset and a religious mindset are simply incompatible in most cases.

4. She loves making me happy and brightening up my day

Just as much as I would love making her happy and brightening up her day. I don't ask anything of a girl that I wouldn't gladly reciprocate myself

3. She is affectionate

No cold and distant for me hehe. I have so much love inside just wanting to give it to someone, and with an affectionate girl. I wouldn't have to hold back. She would love kissing and holding hands and lots of little lovey things.

4. Her presence is comforting

When I'm with her, it's like none of my problems matter. Even if only for a moment, I can melt into her comforting embrace and be completely at peace. Even just looking into her eyes, I can see that everything is going to be alright.

1. She is romantic

This is a continuation of the others, but it is also much more. She appreciates romance, she loves it. She loves watching sunsets with me, lying under the stars, slow dancing, taking walks in the park and sharing many, many romantic moments together.

I think you want the samethings as the majority of "mature' men want. I don't agree with your part on romantic and religion not being compatible. I'm interested in why you think that.

I should clarify that if both partners are religious and romantic, that can be compatible. However, if one is religious and one is romantic but not religious, several problems arise. Obviously the non religious partner has to accept the sad truth that they will always be second best in their partner's eyes. And there are many other issues but I won't go into detail. I guess what I'm trying to say is that romantic and religious could work, but the chances are so small, it's more likely to end in heartbreak. It would be much more ideal for me to find someone who is similar to me, romantic and non religious. That's just my personal view though.

I was the non religous partner in a relationship and I wasn't secvond best to my wife. If it were in reverse I never would have considered her 2nd. I guess I don't understand whay you feel this way. There are many, many couples where the wife is the religous one, goes to church weekly and the husband stays home and I doubt they feel the man is 2nd. I don't know what you are using as your point of referencew so I can't really say any more than I have. I'm not saying you are wrong as much as I'm saying, to me, your point doesn't make sense. Now if you are talking about a person who the religion is their whole life and expects their partner to be so as well, I can see it being a big problem, but not for the majority.

It's just how I feel personally, I can't help it. Like I said though, these are just dream qualities. I know that life often has different things in store. I'll just see what happens I guess, and whatever she is, religious or not, I'll give her all of my love either way.
