I work with this guy who is only a week older than me. We are both 23. I have always wanted to date him, but we were both always in a relationship with other people. I have a son now and split with my son's dad a few months back. He split with his ex around the same time. We are both kind of going through a mess with the relationships, but we talk to each other every day about what is going on. 2 weeks ago he called and asked me to go out for drinks. We spent a few hours bar hopping and then we went to this spot you can see all of down town at. We started talking. He asked what my plans were and I told him I am trying to buy a house and go back to school to finish my master's degree. He tells me "oh my gosh. You are a complete woman. You have it all together. I am really impressed" and then he asked if I had liked him. I told him yes and he says :"Why didn't you tell me sooner? I really like you." So I kissed him. We kissed for quite some time and then went home. We had to go get a car out of town for work and he asked me to go with him. We kissed a lot on the 3 hour trip there and back. We did the same thing 3 times that week for work. I asked him out to dinner and he said he had to help pack up his parents house then we could go out. Around 8:30 we met at the romantic spot again. He told me he really cares about me He kissed me again. we ended up hooking up. I told him I liked him and would love to see where things go and he gave me a hug and said I wish things weren't so complicated right now. went on into we can't fall in love with each other you have the custody thing going on, I have the court stuff with my ex and now money troubles trying to help my parents. Fireworks then started going off behind us and he kissed me and goes maybe that's a sign. He then got a phone call from his aunt asking his to pick his cousin up from the bar. We left went home. One minute he is all interested and into me and the next he seems scared or not interested. I am so confused.

He was super gentle and fun and then we slept together and nothing changed. He was as nice as he had always been. I have needs too so I wasn't withholding sex even though I gave this man my virginity I never pressured him to be my boyfriend just so we could have sex - I wanted to sleep with him. He told me "I love you" 5 times before I said it back. He asked me not to say it unless I meant it because if I ever did tell him I loved him he wanted it to be sincere. When we became official I said it 2 weeks later but I meant it with all my heart about 2 months after I actually said it. I didn't intend on falling in love, it just happened. By the time I felt that I had invested a lot into the relationship he switched up. We had an argument and he pushed me away. He started treating me like just some stranger off the street. We had some ups and downs after that but ultimately we broke up in the end and of course it was my first heart break. I always hear that its the girls fault for choosing to be with someone who wasn't a nice guy or for trying to change a player. But from hearing my side of things I think its clear he never showed any sign of being a bad guy at all. I didn't try to change him. Is it my fault that I got played?
