Like in other words it doesn't matter if he's not happy, that doesn't mean the wife and kids will have a miserable day but it's different if it's the other way around... How come you never hear people say happy husband, happy life?

Do wives have to stroke their husbands ego by making him think he's in control, but really the wife is and can it also be men stroking the wife's ego by making her think she's in control?

Personally I would lose all my respect for anyone who succumbs to physical violence in a conflict that is supposed to be resolved through rational civilized discussion. People who are incapable of controlling their anger and actually physically harass and harm others "to get their point across", especially in adult-adult relations; these people are not only weak, but also uncivilized; close to being the worst of the worst.

Think about it, they are jealous of you or even if you cheated on them; what does physical violence solve? Nothing. It is the language of abusive children.

I recently discovered that one of the married friends had sex with a guy she met on the trip, and another married friend has been in contact with a guy after. My wife did not tell me these facts, I learned them from another friend. When I expressed my concerns she flipped it on me and said that maybe she should not have friends. My response was that I have no problem with her not being anywhere else where it is not a meat market (i. e. movies, dinner, spa). Alternatively, I even suggested that we all go (the husbands included) if they want to go out. I am sorry that I get jealous when my married partner is drinking and hanging out with other men. I am probably insecure but treasure our family and our kids. Finally, I feel that I would never go out with guy friends and hang out with other girls because I don't want to hurt her feelings. I feel silly and jealous.
