3. How much do you tell your mother about what's going on in your life?

by @peachblossomluck in Friends and Family

" I tell my mother things about relationships but I don't tell her anything negative (arguments, disagreements, unpleasant history) because I don't want her to have any reason to accept whoever I choose to bring around."

Opinion by @OlderAndWiser

4. Mothers who don't have much of a life outside of their children and husbands and/or boyfriends. How to be friends with them?

by @Anonymous in Friends and Family

"If you don't like dealing with their kids - then find new friends. It's not fair for the mother because she is no longer a single entity - she is now a member of a family and its not fair for her kids to be with somebody who doesn't like them and only pretends to tolerate them for their parents sake. Find new single friends to hang out with."

Opinion by @523206720

5. Women who are mothers of boys, do you ever expect anything from your son at all?

by @Anonymous in Friends and Family

"No. I expect him to respect me and hopefully I will have earned that and his love. I don't want my kids sacrificing their money or lives for me, that's my role as parent."

Opinion by @BelleGirl21

6. Girls, how strong is a mothers love for her baby?

by @medical2523 in Girl's Behavior

"A mother's love for her baby should be binding, truly never-ending... One where she'd die for or kill if it meant protecting and/or ensuring her child is safe (mentally/emotionally and physically)."

Opinion by @givingchelseasmiles

7. Do mothers always contradict themselves?

by @MysteriousChick93 in Friends and Family

"She is being manipulative. Your mom says you you can't move out because you need a boyfriend. Then later when the issue changes that you may want a boyfriend she then changes her story and tells you that you don't need a boyfriend. These are just arguments used to control you, and not actually good reasons for anything. It is your life, and only you can live it the way you want."

Opinion by @heavensgift2girls

8. Is 22 years old to young to be a mother?

by @Anonymous in Friends and Family

"If you have the skills, the money, and everything else needed to successfully raise a child then you are good to go. I suggest you be at least in a very close relationship with someone you love and trust because a child should be raised by a mother and a father to get all the benefits."

Opinion by @sovetskii13

9. Why is it that in today's era, it's still totally OK for women to be spoiled by their fathers but an abomination if men are spoiled by their mothers?

by @Anonymous in Friends and Family

"Mothers do spoil their sons but it does not make them mamas boys. Many mothers know that they produced the cream of the crop and want to give their son every option in the world, it is not spoiling it is giving him a leg up. I know in college many mothers pampered their sons. There is nothing wrong in this."

Opinion by @parkway

10. Why do you believe that a mother needs to be very protective of their boys?

by @Anonymous in Friends and Fami

"I think parents should be protective of their children, both boys and girls, because the world can be a harsh place and they need support, guidance, and safety. I wouldn't be over-protective though, because as they get older they need room to grow and make their own mistakes too."

Opinion by @heavenonearth

11. Why mothers are so emotionally attached than fathers?

by @Anonymous in Social Relationships

"I have seen just as many emotionally attached fathers and distant mothers. I suppose it depends on your life experience though.

Undoubtedly there will be some fool who will come on here and tell you that "you've been brainwashed by the media to expect that mothers are the more emotionally attached parents"... Bullshit.

The media shows both. And I think it's adorable."

Opinion by @RationalLioness

12. Would you ever lose complete respect for a man or look down on him if he's a mama's boy?

by @Anonymous in Social Relationships

"As long as he understands I am NOT his momma and won't do everything she does... I'm good"

Opinion by @ladymcbeth

So this Mother's day, take the time to appreciate what motherhood means, and reach out to one if you can, and let her know she's appreciated. Mums do so much, usually more good than anything - and that's a great reason to celebrate this amazing figure.
