For those who don't know
A Duelist is someone who believes that the mind and body are separate, these people would believe in the concept of a soul, an afterlife and a sort of existence beyond death. Be it heaven heal or reincarnation. And would to some degree consider the concept of any spiritual, mystical and psychic powers plausible.

A Materialist is someone who believes that the world and everything we view it is purely physical. That when we die we just cease to exist, and consider any notion regarding the aforementioned spiritual, mystical, psychic and even non-material science to be nothing more then archaic superstition.

Personally I consider myself a duelist, because the more i think about the stance of a materialist, the less it makes sense to me. The way i see it, many materialists are by default atheists. Now you can be an atheist and still be spiritual. But many materialists, eventually just veer into being atheists because it would have to coincide with their beliefs.
Think the RIchard Dawkins atheist, they have to think that way and completely dismiss any and all notions that art physical or grounded in "proven science" Because if they ever admitted otherwise their entire argument or stance would fall apart. But the more you think about the concept of a materialist the less it makes sense. That's how I see it at least.

I don’t mean some perv who just wants nudes of you for his collection. I mean a professional or hobbyist artist who wanted to capture your body and create real art, knowing that the best of the pieces would be permanent additions to his portfolio of work and potentially published.
