I am 29 and never had a real girlfriend. I am extremely heartbroken because all my life I have always wanted a girlfriend. I have always wanted a woman whom I can be affectionate and intimate with.

As I watch my peers get married, I just feel very late. Me and a woman can never say we knew each other when we were young. There is so much missed time. I am grown now and approaching my 30s. It just doesn't feel the same.

I am starting to get too old for much younger women. I am starting to become unattractive to 18, 19, and early 20s women due to my age. I feel I am left with women that have too much baggage, and before long, I will be lucky to even find a woman that has never been divorced or has kids from a previous marriage.

I just watched an excerpt from CNN about the rapidly rising demand for AI girlfriends, or artificial intelligence that will have in-depth and personal conversations with you.

While it could be a healthy alternative outlet for a lot of young men who never stand a chance at dating real women, a lot of people think it will ruin dating more than dating apps already have. I also recently saw a question on here talking about how to split expenses with your significant other and it devolved into several arguments. Calling even the basics into question.

Considering all the rapidly changing challenges of modern dating and the plummeting birth rate, rise in mental illness and other economic woes, it begs the question:

Will we as a society figure out modern relationships or will society loose cohesion and fall apart before we get the chance?

When I go to the barber, I'm not much of a talker unless the barber starts talking to me a lot. I usually just want to get in, get my haircut, and get out. I'll talk if the barber starts talking to me, but I don't usually say a whole lot unless the barber starts talking about something I'm interested in.

As this woman barber started cutting my hair, she asked something about what I was doing for the rest of the day. I said I ran a bunch of errands and was just going to go home and relax after. She asked what I do to relax, and I said probably watch some TV or YouTube.

She asked what kind of TV I watch, and I said I don't watch a whole lot of TV unless there's something I want to see. She then asked what I watch on YouTube. So I said I watch stuff related to cryptocurrency and NFTs. She actually showed interest and asked what kind I invest in, and she asked me to explain more what NFTs are. Etc.

She asked if I listen to podcasts. I said I like paranormal podcasts, and she got really excited. She said she was raised Catholic. She said she was interested in bigfoot, which made me laugh. She asked me for some recommendations for good paranormal podcasts, so I gave her three.

While ringing me up, she took out some paper and a pen and asked me to repeat the names, so I did. She wrote them down. She then handed me her Sports Clips business card, which had her first name and last initial handwritten on it. She also gave me a sticker that had some design and said "B______ Styles" on it. I assume the B______ was her last name.

When she handed me her card, I handed her my business card and explained that I'm a lawyer. She looked at it and saw that I was a family law attorney. She said she would have to get married first before she could get divorced in a joking way.

She then discounted my haircut from $30 down to $20. I tipped her $10. The whole time, she was really bubbly and smiled a lot. She was cute.
