Feminist extremists/MGTOW - the movements on the far sides of the gender equality movement. Feminist extremists tend to be known for wanting more rights for women than rights for men (let's not confuse the extremists with the standard feminist here, folks). MGTOW is a movement developed as a response to the feminist movement in which men choose to forgo female relationships and tend to completely disrespect women as a whole - labeling them all nearly subhuman.

Alpha/Beta debate: When men obsess over being seen as either alpha or beta by society.

Gender/sexual identities - most common on places like Tumblr. People express gender/sexual identities other than the four most common ones. Their stance is that a person's choice in who, or what they are sexually attracted to is normal. Some of these include pansexuality, demisexuality, Caucasians identifying as African American, Asians identifying as Caucasian, and the hatred of the "CIS male/female."

I was reading an article this morning about the topic and I am really interested in what other people think. It was basically about the fact that when you're older, you've been together a long time, you're committed to spending your lives together and growing old together, "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" don't encapsulate that level of committment, and can seem kind of juvinile.

What I want to know is what people think is a good label for a person with whom you have built a life and are committed if you two do not intend to marry. I'd prefer that this doesn't devolve into a debate about whether or not people should get married, or any personal moralistic ideas about it...

Personally, I think "Partner" or "Life Partner" are good. Some people choose to use the words "Husband/Wife/Spouse" to convey that their committment is equivalent to marriage, they just don't believe in marriage or whatever.

Is it cheating? My friends and I where having a little debate at school about this topic. If so, when does it become cheating? When are those boundaries set in a relationship broken? Are they broken from the start? What do you think?
