But I realized I didn't explain what such a marriage would look like, in practical terms, so I'll explain:

The word "nourish" means "provide with the food or other substances necessary for health & good condition" & the word "cherish" means "protect and care for (someone) lovingly." So this would mean that the husband is a "protector and provider" (he pays for all her necessary living expenses).

However, this doesn't mean that the wife can't get a job. Other Bible passages ( Proverbs 31 & Luke 8 ) commend women for making incomes. The difference is that unlike men, it's optional, since they're not given the responsibility of providing for the family.

Instead, women have the responsibility to "guide the house" (Titus 2, 1 Tim 5). It should be noted that in the original Greek text, the word for "guide the home" is "oikodespotēs" which means "master of house or head of family" or "rule the house". Thus, she's responsible for guiding the affairs within the household.

The woman is also subject to her husband, but since the husband's headship is supposed to emulate Christ's headship over the church, the husband is supposed to put his wife's well-being above his own, and also fulfill her desires (John 14:13) as long as they're not harmful.

So basically:
Husband: provider, protector, leader, using authority for wife's benefit & appeasing his wife's desires as long as they're not harmful
Wife: guides affairs at home, is subject to husband, can get a job (but it's optional)

My guy cuz has talked about his married friend that is like family (because her hubby is close to his) and how he’s always cared about her. Tonight I watched them together at a family gathering. Here is what I saw:

- Asked where her husband was and she said he wasn’t there and he stayed by her all night.
-I noticed anytime he made a joke or said almost anything he’d look at her.
-He would throw things at her. Like once was a cookie and the other a candy. (he is kinda immature)
-He was physically poking her arms when making jokes.
-If she was looking at somthing, he'd look where her eyes were looking at.

At one point in the night I caught him staring at her. She was zoned out and dind't notice him.
He went to her and said “you should head home”. He said he saw she was tired and she needed to head home.

Its so sweet but I’m now curious on WTH is going on! Lol
