The Parents of 40 TV Shows Thats I Grew Up Watching

Some of these parents I looked up to. Others I just watxhed for entertainment. If I dont list a show, its most likely because I didn't watch much of it. But who out of these parents wouldve been your top 3 Moms and Dads?

The Parents of 40 TV Shows Thats I Grew Up Watching

Who better to start this thing off with than the 3 tv dads who werent what I thought in real life:

1. Cosby Show: Cliff Huxtable since Bill Cosby is trending these days... Most of you hate him, but in my eyes he’s still Cliff and I really dont think he touched all those women. I mean maybe one and thats sad bt the rest probably jumped on the money wagon. Either way, I always saw Cliff as dad material. Believe it or not, I wasn't a fan of Claire Huxtable.

2. 7th Heaven: I initially loved Eric Camden and saw him as a great Christian dad. But i knew something was up with him when he played on The Babysitters Seduction. And then bam... years later he's going down as a pedo. Smh. I really loved Annie Camden though but not her temper. I still saw her as Mom material though.

3. Little House on the Prairie: Charles Ingalls was a hottie and seemed like a sweetheart. Plus he was that “super” dad who was always saving his family.. But I heard he was a grumpy ole bastard in real life. Smh. Its still hard to dislike his character. Caroline Ingalls seemed cool though.

4. Full House: Danny Tanner seemed like the perfect dad but apparently Bob Saget was a nasty handful in real life with his potty mouth. He was apparently playing opposite his real life self. Hollywood would clearly cast anyone back then as a tv parent but hey I commend them for acting so good.

Now I’m gonna jump to some hotties who couldn’t possibly be my father but definitely my “zaddyyy”.

Full House: Jesse Katsopolis was so fine regardless of if he was uncle or daddy. I loved how he treated his nephews and his sons. John Stamos has only pissed me off once, and that was in that movie Fatal Vows but other than that, I love seeing him on tv. He was cool as a grandpa on Grandfathered as well. Becky Donaldson was aight but grew annoying.

5. Whos the Boss: Tony Micelli was all that and more! He’s one of the coolest dads/stepdads ever. He plays the dad of Sam (aka Phoebe from Charmed). Angela Bower was cool when she wasn't a workaholic.

6. Charmed: I absolutely adored Leo Wyatt. He was another “superdad” always saving the day. He and Piper Halliwell were one of my absolute favorite tv couples and tv parents. They had such adorable sons who grew up to be total hotties (in terms of the actors who played adult Wyatt and Chris). Cole Turner and Phoebe Halliwell were another hot couple although they didn't get to become parents to his demon baby.

7. Melissa and Joey: I didn't watch much of this show, but I tuned in every now and again because Joe Longo was such a hottie and i liked Melissa on Sabrina.

8. Jane the Virgin: This show presented many parents I adored. First was Rogelio de La Vega who plays Janes clueless dad. he's amazing. And hot lol. I love his ditzy sid. Then there's Michael Cordero who plays stepdad to Mateo. I honestly only watched this show for Michael and Janes relationship. When he left the show, so did i. I hear he's back but its prob just Sin Rostro in disguise again so i rather not tune in. Rafael Solano is such an a-hole but he's a great dad. I Just refuse to watch this show to see he and Jane end up together. Theyre better off co-parenting. And surprisingly Petra became a good mom. Oh yea, I can't mention this show without bringing up the virgin mary herself, Jane Villanueva. she's an awesome mom and hilarious. Sometimes she reminds me of myself, especially with the clumsiness and love triangles. Her grandma is so cool bt her mom annoys me.

9. All of Us: Robert James was a cool dad but I mainly watched for Neesee James. These two were good at coparenting but she was a dang good mom. I wanted her and Robert to end up together so bad. I couldnt stand his girlfriend.

10. Smart Guy: Floyd Henderson was somewhat clueless but nevertheless a great dad. Plus he was fine af. The youngest son TJ was adorbs (and you can see him all grown up in Baby Daddy) but i also liked the oldest son Marcus. His singing voice is so dreamy plus he played young Michael jackson.

11. Baby Daddy: This was so not the typical 3 men and a baby. The show was hilarious but went downhill for me when they put Riley Perrin with the other brother. Other than that, she was a good mother figure to Emma. Ben Wheeler was a good clumsy dad and Tucker Dobbs was a good uncle figure. But I watched this show for Danny Wheeler. Not only was he fine and adorably ditzy, but he was a great father figure.

12. House of Payne: CJ Payne was fine and a great dad even when dealing with being married to a crackhead. Uncle Curtis Payne was just as good of a father/grandfather figure. Aunt Ella honestly annoyed me though.

13. One On One: I tuned in every now and again just to see Flex Washington. Gosh his smile is gorgeous. Oh yea he was def the cool dad.

14. One Tree Hill: Nathan Scott and Haley James were such an annoying couple but great parents. They were so ride or die for eachother and their kid Jamie. Nathans father Dan Scott was like the worst dad ever but he became a great grandfather. Sucks what Dan did to Uncle Keith Scott who was an amazing father to Lucas Scott and I loved his mom Karen Roe. I was rooting for Lucas and Peyton Sawyer but he did Brooke Davis dirty. I was so happy she finally got to become a mom after she and Julian Baker thought they were infertile. And i can't forget Clay Evans father storyline. Too adorbs!!

15. George Lopez: Who didn't love this show? I’d love to have George and Angie as parents.

16. Dawsons Creek: Mitch Leery was a good dad to Dawson. Grams Ryan was a great grandma to Jen. Bessie Potter was an amazing big sister and parental guardian to Joey.

17. Reba: Reba was a hilarious but great mom. Her no-good ex husband Brock Hart was also a decent parent. I really enjoyed watching Van and Cheyenne Montgomery be clumsy young parents.

18. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Phillip Banks was an amazing father and father figure. He was strict af though. And omg I couldnt stand chocolate Aunt Viv. She was annoying but definitely funny. I preferred yellabone Aunt Vivienne cause she was nice but kinda boring.

19. The Parent’Hood: This was one of my fave shows and I loved watching Robert Peterson as a dad.

20. My Wife & Kids: This was a hilarious show and I enjoyed watching Michael Kyle but not Jay. She annoyed me

21. Family Matters: I mainly watched this for Steve Urkel but Carl Winslow was a good father to his kids.

22. Bernie Mac Show: Bernie Mac was a handful r.i.p but luckily Wanda McCullough was there to remind him that killing his nieces and nephew wasn't a good idea. This show was hilarious but gosh i couldnt stand those smart mouth kids.

23. Good Times: James and Florida Evans drove me crazy but they were darn good parents.

24. Drake and Josh had really weird parents. Yea I don't know why i included this show haha. I mean i think they were a bit helpful.

25. Jon & Kate Plus 8 were horrible spouses but adorable parents to their twins and sextuplets. Kate was reasonably strict.

26. The Brothers Garcia was like my fave hispanic-based sitcom before I really got into George Lopez. The brothers were so hawt to but their dad was very good at parenting.

27. Spy is a hilarious British sitcom. Tim Elliot tried his best to be a good parent but omg his ex wife and their son was gosh awful.

28. Lost had people everywhere. But I commend Jack Shephard for trying to get home to his son... although his son turned out to be ungrateful af. I also give grace to Michael Dawson for trying to parent his hard-headed kid Walt. But i wanna give a shoutout to Charlie Pace for treating Claires son like it was his own.

29. Sabrina the Teenage Witch didn’t have a mom or dad but she had two great aunts, Zelda and Hilda Spellman. Even I looked up to them.

30. Thats So Raven had such goofy parents but great nonetheless. I liked em. Plus I really wanted to be Raven.

31. Sister Sister had the best parents ever. I’d put Ray Campbell and Lisa Landry in top 5 with Leo and Piper from Charmed, Neesee and Robert from All of Us, George and Angie from George Lopez, and the cast of Jane the Virgin. I really looked up to all of them.

32. Blackish have hilarious parents.

38. The Game had ditzy parents Jason and Kelly but they did good for the most part. Derwin was an awesome dad. And omg no one can top Tasha. she's like mom of the year. She was always ride or die for Malik.

39. Smallville had Jonathan Kent. He belongs on the greatest dads of all time list next to Cliff Huxtable, Danny Tanner, Ray Campbell, Tony Micelli, Phillip Banks, and Phillip Drummond.
