I am a fire alarm enthusiast, especially pertaining to vintage or older signaling devices.

The first image shows a horn/light combo my church had growing up. That was my first experience with a fire drill, and I was terrified because these things were incredibly loud.

The second image is an example of a horn/light combo during my elementary school years. These were unnerving too.

It seems like most of these are retired almost completely now and replaced with more electronic alarms with strobes. Voice evac systems are becoming more common too.

When I was growing up it was still more common. At least people talked about it a lot more and also did it once in a while. But now I don't really see anyone even claim that they're approaching women except people who do it for content. For me it's not a problem I need a strong mental connection and I'm not someone who wants to play the field and I'm kind of a loner anyway. I found my girlfriend online because she responded to something I wrote. So it fit my weirdness I guess. I've never felt like I want to approach a woman but can't when Im in public in the last few years. So I wanna know do you feel the same?
