I immediately had a very definite impression. For fun I listened to someone’s project where they broke it down & there take was - well I won’t even say nothing like mine, it was essentially the opposite... So I am curious of the different perceptions we may all have.

As an aside, this song was written about a good platonic friend. They used to walk along the harbor in Montreal. She was very kind and generous -the kind of person you could sit w/ forever being bathed in her warmth, I suppose... I think we prob have all met someone kind of like that at some point. If briefly.

As a child for me, the lyrics held no sexual undertones. I just assumed it denoted strong connection on a spiritual plane. Course I wasn’t remotely into nor was I thinking of people as sexual beings at that time. As an adult I hear it differently and I can see all kinds of sexual or sexual adjacent possibilities— nice to know I got it right the first time when I was 6 😎

So I've been seeing this guy recently that I've been talking for a few months and we seem to have a lot of similarities/things in common. Whenever we would meet up/go on a date we always ended up doing something sexually and this one time he begged to do something and wouldn't take no for an answer but we didn't do anything. ( i have told him how i felt about things and he apologize for doing that and said it won't happen again)

he's new to all of this relationship stuff he's not use to it and things like meeting families/talking about kids or anything far ahead freak him out. He said he wants to take things naturally and not put pressure on it. He said something about what i said before about being lonely and starting over again. He has told his dad and friend about me. he's more of an in person guy.

When were in public he hardly looks at me sometimes (he did say thats what he does is people watch and just look around) and usually looks at me but when were alone he looks at me deeply in the eyes and is very affectionate. In public we do sometimes hold hands and hug , he puts his arm around me etc. We've had a few hiccups and he has anxiety so when we had a situation he was pushing me away.

He also told me he likes me and wants to be fair to me, he said he wants a relationship but his anxiety gets the best of him. (From what i can tell and confirmed with him)

he's a very shy guy and keeps to himself , not a huge fan of pda but when were alone he's not shy and as I've mentioned is very affectionate and looks deeply in my eyes and knows how to turn someone on/make someone feel good.

I have been talking to this guy for a few months and in my life not a lot has been going on. We have a lot in common and we seem to have a genuine connection , i like him and i think about him majority of the day. We had a few hiccups along the way and there was one thing that happened that still makes me feel guarded. I want to take the relationship really slow because i don't want the same thing to happen in my last relationship that still burns a bit. I'm kind of afraid to tell more people about my relationship with this guy and rush things. I feel more "on" with this guy then i did with my ex. I was blinded in my last relationship so i want to be cautious but enjoy the moment.

Also we met briefly twice socially distance and it was good i was excited and happy to see him but all these other thoughts were going through my head. I just don't know if its my fear or if its just me being lonely.

We both compliment each other and i feel somewhat comfortable with him , we both don't give up so easily. He makes me happy and exciting and nervous sometimes. We both feel the same way about each other i just have this weird feeling in me and i can't seem to shake it.
