We started dating at the beginning of this year, so it has already been about 4 months. We have exchanged photos and have been calling almost every day, we practically sleep on phone calls. We are going to start video calling by beginning of June and see what happens.

I have my university studies left to do for the remainder of this year, so my timing is not great at all. I have certain time gaps which I can see him:

End of June, End of October, November or beginning of December. I was going to discuss these options with him as he is also saving me money. I was going to visit him for 2 weeks and if things work out, I will visit him again in February next year for a month before I start university again.

I am only concerned about things becoming boring or stale, and usually the "honeymoon" phase ends at 6 months. So, I thought about June seeing him then, but I thought it would make a good test on our relationship too. I've known this guy online for 3 years now and we decided to take things to the next level. We watch movies, play games together, take photos and share them, we do a lot together. It is comforting.

I would prefer seeing him because of his own circumstances. What timeline would be best to see him? I can discuss with him later.

- Max distance is 99 miles (dealbreaker)
- Age 28-38 (dealbreaker)
- Listed only open to two ethnicities (dealbreaker)
- Listed around 5-7 religions but those aren’t a dealbreaker

Truthfully I don’t think I’m too picky, I mean I have my physical preferences, the age range is kind of on the larger side & seeing someone no more than 100 miles away isn’t that big of a deal. I always swipe left on cig smokers & drug users, I prefer the guy to be at minimum 3 inches taller & hate one worded prompts.

Or would that eliminate the thrill of the chase? Is there a way a girl should tell you what she wants that would be less off-putting and more appealing?

Ex 1, she indirectly lets you know what she likes by talking about what she's learned what she needs based on what other men succeeded or failed to do, whereby you can infer her needs and decide whether you can or want to be better than them.

Ex2, she directly says she likes it when men do xyz, and asks you if that works for you.

As an ugly cisgender woman, I've come to understand, perhaps painfully, that society often elevates those who fit its narrow definition of attractiveness. I've observed, sometimes with a tinge of resignation, that a pretty transgender woman is preferred in the eyes of some, even if they don't yet possess female genitalia. It has most definetly been my experience that even transphobic men would prefer to bone a pretty transgender woman compared to me.

I started uni very recently and before it started, i had become friends with a guy who's going to the same department as mine on social media. We exchanged texts daily and the exchange was playful and fun. He even said we'd be inseparable close friends by graduation and i expected so too. but unfortunately, we didn't get into the same class, which virtually means we won't have contact with each other even on the same campus because classes are completely separate. Still, last week when uni started, we finally met for an info session at uni and went to lunch together before that. I enjoyed chatting with him because it was very easy to talk to him and i assumed he did too, but later that day when I texted him and suggested that we hang out again sometime soon after class, he texted me back and said not anytime soon bc he'll be busy with classes and other activities, strangely also adding that he would prefer to hang out in a group next time even if there's next time. i'm sure he's not in a relationship and i never suggested anything romantic and i genuinely just want to hang out with him again because it was fun chatting with him. since then, his replies got very slowly and much shorter. On top of that, i asked him this week if he'd like to go to an interesting uni event this week after class with me and when he finally replied he shortly just said he'd take a rain check (as his classes end before noon that day and the event is in the evening) and suggested i ask someone else particularly in my class out. I can't help feeling he's no longer interested in maitaining our still new friendship. and it's realistically very likely to just fizzle out as i don't see him at uni and texting is pretty much the only communication between us. Should i just let it naturally fade away without trying to keep the texting going and just forget about him or try to keep in touch with him by still sending him messages?
