Search Results: a guy has never approached me

I’m 24 and never really dated anyone. I have had sex before and it was terrible. The most experience I had was with online dating and it doesn’t work for me. I’ve been out with men a few times but it typically doesn’t go anywhere. The most one has enveloped was into 3 dates and we both came to conclusion after there was nothing more to pursue. I didn’t date in HS, guys didn’t notice me, most likely because I was heavier. I’ve lost weight since and I’m still invisible to guys. I don’t honestly know why I can’t find a guy worth pursuing, maybe there really is something wrong with me. I don’t have any friends either, so meeting people in that manner is out of the question. Why are some people just destined to be single or not worth pursuing if they still try their best to be presentable? I hear stories of people bumping into their SO out in public or girls getting approached in public and having dates but I’ve always been alone.

I don’t know what I’ve done to be invisible throughout my life. I’m 24 and never been in a relationship. I’ve lost 80+ lbs and I guess I’m what you consider average/thick now. I still don’t get attention from guys. People say to work on yourself and things will fall into place but this has never happened for me. I exercise, watch my weight and attempt to look my best (I don’t try too hard). I’ve been complimented throughout my life (not solely by family and “friends”) and I don’t honestly think I’m unattractive. People seemed shocked when they find out guys don’t notice me. Men don’t approach me, I’ve only ever gotten attention from men I’m not attracted to or are just weird. I hear stories of people bumping into their current SO and I just don’t get why that’s never happened for me. I’ve tried online dating and have had zero luck. I don’t know what I’ve honestly done to be so alone throughout my life, not to mention that I have no friends.

So I’ve heard of women that speak of getting asked out in HS and having guys pretty much come to them without even trying. And they have a lot of friends. All throughout school, I was very reserved and I don’t think people liked me very much. In HS, was never asked out and didn’t have any close friendships. I only ever got attention from weird or nerdy guys. And they weren’t even in my HS, they were friends with people I knew and went to other schools. As a woman in her early twenties currently, not much has changed at all. I only get attention from guys you wouldn’t ideally pursue, don’t have any friends and still single. I was chubbier in school so I’ve lost weight to feel better about myself and still not much attention. I only get “approached” on dating apps and we know how that goes 😞

So I have a friend in the US that was a Marine soldier. White, cis, male, and he's all the typical cool American stereotypes! Fun guy, kinda like an older brother! Known him for 7 years ish.

I wholeheartedly disagree with Trump.
The wall? making mexico pay? The subtle racism? The ban? The government shutdown? I feel like Trump drew a line and created groups of "us vs them".

I tried to see the good side. Sure, economy. Uhhh.. Well.

My friend was a avid trump supporter. He wanted his guns, his freedom, his rights.

We had a huge argument despite remaining somewhat peaceful lol.

Fast forward to NOW.

We called again, took some time to rant about politics and he came to the conclusion that perhaps he never looked the world through my eyes or, in that sense, anyone else's.

He mentioned being agaisnt the military transgender ban, the muslim ban, the wall, the way trump approaches the illegal immigrants and said he's more empathetic to the mexicans as they are running towards a better chance at life to a first world country and said he'd do the same for his kids and his wife.
(considering the Mexican president's visa ban)

Anyway, anyone else has a story to share like this?
