Respect a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. (think friendships)

According to an article on HuffingtonPost it claimed that, "Love is unconditional. The word “unconditional” means that there are no expectations or limitations set. To love unconditionally is a difficult thing, and most humans aren't good at that. But true love really does love without trying to change the other person."

So now I wonder, do we the people misunderstand lust and love when we go out seeking our future partners? If we seek out people who meet our expectations and our conditions, is it because we have fear, insecurities and need to feel a sense of control or is it because we genuinely LOVE a person as they are- a person who is imperfect and prone to mistakes. Do we lack love for ourselves and so we lust after others first? Do we believe in love anymore?

So let’s say you are early twenties and seeing someone of similar age. You both really like each other a lot maybe in love. They are the one who asked you it but as you had far more experience you kind of set the pace. They seemed totally ok with this then suddenly they want to start over and date properly going at a more “reasonable” pace.

They claim they don’t want to break up and insist their feelings have not diminished. Just simply the two of you became very close very quickly and kind of jumped into a full relationship and this is all very new and unexpected. Not that they are blaming you for their own actions. They just realize they got ahead of themselves and feeling very out of control with how fast it all is and need to take a step back.

They want to work up to where you guys are at , slowly. As if they missed the whole “beginning new to dating” and ended up nearly engaged after a few months -from never having dated before.

Each time you discuss it, They emphasize just want to go slowly, they don’t want to leave you.

Wouid you be ”skeptical as to their true intentions?

Wouid you believe they are genuine yet still be worried?

Wouid you just give it a go?
