Search Results: learn from my mistakes

I been thinking for a very long time that I've always wanted to work in the video game and computer industries so I've planned on getting a major in Software Engineering. I've been also told my whole life that college will lead me to a successful future adult life until I've been hit with a reality check that thousands of college graduates are now either in debt or in a job that doesn't even require a degree. One of the things bothering me the most about college/university is being forced to spend more money to take classes that have little to nothing to do with my major (on top of that, even making me taking those courses at a nearly high level). Right now, I'm taking Biology 181, which is a bit of a difficult class that's main mainly for Pre-med students. The class is interesting and all but it's difficult and frustrating for me to grasp enough concepts I've been trying to learn from the course, in order for me to do well on any of my tests.

I think I may be learning the hard way that college may not be for me after being in community college for 3 years (struggling with money and time management with my job and family). I felt like, all those 3 years of community college (which I should have transferred already since community college is 2 years long) has gotten me no where in my life but more stress and financial loss, despite trying very hard to knock off all my prerequisites to transfer to ASU for Software Engineering. The funny thing is, I'm still getting admission invitations from ASU, UofA and NAU (due to my GPA being fairly good enough). Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely enroll in any of them. However, money is a huge issue for me and I haven't won any scholarships to help me cover everything.
