I do it more often now because it's an hour long drive to get to my uncle's bayhouse and when I'm there, i don't feel like I belong there as people will say hi and ask where I am if I'm not there, but once I arrive, I never feel like I play any role in the party, if you want to call it that.

I also have an angry resting face so I'm constantly trying to keep myself from looking that way but it never plays out right and I end up making myself look confused instead of angry, even though I'm not mad. Today I was invited to a family meetup but I said no and decided to stay home instead because I didn't want to drive an hour just so I can sit and feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It also doesn't help that I don't drink at all because I'm 100% immune to the effects of alcohol and being around people who are drunk is even less enjoyable for me, so I decided that I wasn't going to go today.
