I have a huge crush on a guy and we get on well. We always make strong eye contact and most mornings he says good morning to me first. I sometimes catch him staring at me.

This morning, I noticed that he has more or less shaved his beard off.

I complimented him and said it looks nice. He said “thank you” but then kept saying he didn’t like it, his mum doesn’t like it etc. as if to seek constant reassurance. He said that he’d said to his mum “I am half of you so I have your looks”.

I said that I’m glad I don’t have my dad’s nose because it’s a beak. I then said I have my mums eyes.

He said “you’re blessed then”

Was he subtly complimenting my looks? Does he think I’m attractive? What did he mean?

Just to give a brief intro - I noticed this guy randomly gazing and smiling at me. We eventually made friends and he is usually the first one to initiate any interaction. He always looks/stares at me when he walks towards me/in my direction. He holds very strong eye contact when we talk, he smiles a lot when we talk and he teases me. Over the last few days, things have seemed very intense

- We were talking and he more or less admitted that he doesn’t like talking to people in general. I said, “well I must be pretty awesome if you’re talking to me.”, he said “yes, absolutely, you passed the test with flying colours” but did not look at me when he said that.

- We made eye contact and he looked away so quickly/aggressively that I thought his head would fall off

- Yesterday, he walked past me/in my direction three times and each time, I caught him staring at me

- Today, I caught him looking at me a few times and he smiled at me when I looked at him

- I told him that I like his shirt and he smiled, and he was still smiling to himself when I walked away

- he walked past my office and he doesn’t work anywhere near me. He was walking right against the wall and stared into the window at me as he walked past. When I teased him about it, he said “I was bored and going for a walk”, he didn’t have to come by my office.

- we were talking and he stared into my eyes for what seemed like ages

I see him almost every day. He always smiles at me and we say hi. Sometimes I catch him staring at me as he is walking past, and then when I look at him, he smiles and says hello.

I notice him looking at me from across the room in the canteen.

He always smiles when he sees me. And in general, he looks grumpy and has resting bitch face. I’ve seen him interact with other people (e. g. the lady serving him at the till, and he had a neutral face).

When we talk, he is smiling/laughing for almost the entire duration of the interaction. He will also be fixated on my face/eyes and we hold eye contact. He will stare at my eyes for approximately 10 seconds or more. He also doesn’t move away if I move closer to him.
I was once chatting to him on his break, and I apologised and said “sorry, I’m keeping you from your break” and he said “no it’s ok”

There is probably more information but I can’t remember haha.
Based on this, could he be into me?

Our interactions started off with him staring and smiling at me. I’d smile back but quickly look away because I’m shy.

Id notice him look at me from across the room and we would glance at each other a few times.

When I took the plunge and made the first move by saying hi, he smiled even more but then ignored me for a couple of weeks.

He went back to staring at me, smiling and saying hi.

When we had our first proper conversation, he seemed quite fidgety and we spoke for a good 10 minutes. He was holding eye contact and smiling the whole time.

Now, we say hi to each other every day. He will walk past me to leave the room, and I will look up and catch him looking at me. As soon as I look at him, he smiles and says hi.

We had a long conversation earlier. His eyes looked down my body and he said ‘you look like you’re going to the gym’, and for most of the conversation we were staring into each others eyes.
