I often see men and women excusing women for being abusive to their loved ones when they have their period. Many mothers and fathers, for example, will often say its perfectly acceptable for their daughters to be rude to their siblings or act aggressive when they have their period.

Poll question: Do you think it is ok to excuse women of being verbally and emotionally abusive to their loved ones when they have their periods?

It's been said time and time again that it's not easy for most men to approach and flirt with a woman in public, and that even the most attractive confident men only have a 30 to 40% chance, at best, to impress a woman.

A 30 to 40% success rate still means rejection the majority of the time, and unlike in the pre-2000s, women nowadays tend to be a lot meaner and less empathetic about this than they used to (sorry, but it's true; a lot of y'all aren't nice).

Women also tend to not understand why only the most attractive, most ballsy 5% of men out there only hit on them, despite how many women will shout at, harass, curse out, or otherwise be viciously mean/rude to normal, decent men attempting to just get to know them better. (Not men being aggressive, rude, or not taking 'no' for an answer; just regular decent dudes.)

As a girl, are you the type to empathize with and understand just how hard it is for a guy (especially a not-handsome, not-fit, not-tall guy) to muster up the courage to ask a complete stranger to get to know him better and begin a potential relationship with him?

... Or are you the type of woman who will reject a guy loudly and rudely, because he was too short/ugly, wasted your time, or "couldn't see the tiny little wedding ring on your finger while you're holding your purse or phone" or something?

My stepmom and my dad were arguing over some personal issues and I was feeling stressed out. Something about junk food, cigarettes, her family, she yelled very badly at my dad, she said that he and I need to f*** off and leave, etc etc etc. My dad said that I need to tell her I was sorry for what I said, even though I already apologized. My dad accused me of being "smart" with her even though I was literally stating a fact and wasn't saying it in a negative tone. I hate being around people who always think words matter more than tone, action, context, etc. I get influened very easily by these people.

I am on vacation with them but I will be leaving tomorrow to return to my mom's house. My mom found out that I called 911 becaue I am currently on my stepdad's phone bill line and he found out about it and talked to my mom about it. She and my dad told me not to call 911 anymore; luckily the police didn't come.

I feel not just very bad for my dad but very regretful of planning this vacation s**t in the first place. I've gained hella weight, my dad keeps telling me I'm not fat EVEN THOUGH I ACTUALLY AM, no girl f***ing wants to date me even though my dad keeps calling me handsome and telling me not to believe what people on Photofeeler say about me. Every non-bot girl on Tinder and Bumble ignores me like I am a subhuman buttugly doofus.

I am not a Joe Rogan or a Brad Pitt... I am just an average guy with a mathematically intelligent mindset. I have autism, my stepmom literally tried to bring me into her aggressive conversations with my dad, she yelled at my mom over the goddamn phone, and I am so f***ing pissed that my dad would say that *I* offended her.

I told my dad I wouldn't apologize, and when he told me to do so, I called my mom and then the police. I didn't tell my dad or my mom this, but I just wanted to place my stepmom in jail for the way she had been treating my dad.

I've always been an introvert but for most of my life, I was passive and would frequently say yes to things I didn't want to do out of fear of insulting people by saying no. I don't show much emotion because there's simply no emotion to show to others now as I don't attach myself emotionally to hardly anyone else.
This includes family members with the exceptions being the two kids of my cousin and her husband who I do connect with on some levels.

The most notable exception is my long distance girlfriend who's been there for me every step of the way for the past 2 years and I've been there for her as much as I can. Other than that, I aggressively avoid forming connections with anyone but when brought a topic I am passionate about, like firearms, I'm more than happy to make recommendations and show research.

A relatively recent change in my medication for focus and depression that started about 8 months ago has led to a significant shift in my behavior in that I became very assertive and sometimes even aggressive towards others who annoyed me. It's not hard to annoy me though if you're a coworker as all you'd have to do to irritate me is walk into my office and say my name as I like when it's quiet in there.

I do show displeasure towards others when the unwanted contact occurs with my body language bladed away from them and I often don't make eye contact as I just want them out so I can return to things being quiet. I now almost always say no to family gatherings, going out to eat, weekend activities and so on. I simply don't enjoy the company of others and would rather be alone doing activities i enjoy.

However with my girlfriend, I'm the opposite, I'm as warm as can possibly be and I'm always telling her how much I love her and how just knowing that she's on the other side of the screen writing to me brings me warmth and comfort. I'd do anything with her, if she invited me to literally just go kick rocks, I'd say yes and probably have a great time doing it

I personally know that most guys don’t. Rather we do it out of necessity. The guys who actually do “enjoy” approaching women are typically the aggressive trashy types or worse.

Most of us don’t enjoy sticking our necks out. However I feel too many women take that for granted given the rude games they often play and how they often creep shame guys who do this. The most common scenario was the guy was polite but guilty of the grave sin of being unattractive (to her).

I’ve been A and somewhat B. There was a time in my 20s I got a lot of attention. Lots of women told me I was cute and handsome back then. I could approach any woman and literally say anything and get away with it. I was never aggressive dbag but i could flat out make sexual jokes/remarks back then and at worst a girl would laugh out of amusement (even if she wasn’t interested).

The only time I ever really got turned down back the is if the girl was already taken. But even taken girls would often chat with me and sometimes give out there number (but they wouldn’t respond to texts/calls). I would only find out later they had bfs.

However I did have a few bad experiences. I had two girls actively stalking me in college. I’ve had random drunk women grope me in clubs/bars. I’ve had one woman get angry and trying to shove me when I turned her down. I’ve had other guys try to throw me under the bus out of jealousy. But those incidents were few and far between.

Now I’ve gotten older I’m not the baby faced 24 year old I once was. I am still in excellent physical shape but I‘m not going to go walking around shirtless (unless it’s at the beach or something).

Overall it’s been a lot tougher approaching women. Although I have gotten more aware of their body language and I’ve gotten better at my game it’s insanely tough now. I have very little wiggle room to make any mistakes. If i say or do anything even remotely considered “creepy” it’s game over. It doesn’t matter if it was unintentional or not. Nor does it matter if the girl even knows it was unintentional. I’m being held to a much higher standard.

But I am curious what women honestly have to say about this. I was surprised that some prefer B. I sure as hell don’t.
