I just came up with the idea. Like, they ween heroin addicts off heroin, right? So what if you did the same thing for a partner you were going to break up with?

So, you let someone know that you're going to break up with them at a specific time. Say, in a month. Then you see them less and less over that period. Like, getting them used to being without you.

Do you think it would provide a more stable break up, or just make the pain worse? Like, I've always been a firm believer in clean breaks, but maybe for some vulnerable people that is too abrupt?

I realize this isn't ideal for the terminator, though. After all, you're sacricing by spending time with someone you wanna break up with. But people do that anyway, while figuring out how to break the news.
