For the sake of argument, I'm talking about the kind of place you might go to approach women.

We've all seen those, "You must be this tall to ride," signs at fairgrounds, and it got me thinking. Should there be similar signs on doors to pubs to stop short men from bothering women?

I'm not saying every night, just weekends. It's not nice having to decline shorties while waiting for 6ft guys to approach you. I know a lot of women avoid certain bars because there's too many little guys trying their luck, so it would make good business sense.

Thoughts?

Of course, nobody can tell what he is exactly feeling but I just want opinion from other people specifically guys.

This guy (24) (we will call him John) and me (25) have been online friends since 2019 when covid striked. He's been in relationships, some shorter ones (like 1yr max) and I've been in a longer ones since then. However we would always be in contact and especially when both single. We talk via calls for hours sometimes, however not often, once in a while as he lives in USA and I live in Europe. we also text but not everyday. We know each other well. I realized i have major crush on him, like im always drown to him no matter what. We can stop talking for some time and i dont think about him but as soon as we chat again my crush is back. For 7 (SEVEN) years... he flirts with me unexpextedly, asks me sometimes all of a sudden like whats my romantic status, he listens to me well, asks for my opinions and advices. But when we flirt he is either keeping it going or sometimes just changes energy all of a sudden and stops doing so. He mostly initiates this and i just follow along. Maybe only couple of times i initiated him. He mentions wanting to meet up and how nice it would be but we never actually talk seriously about it. Pls someone tell me what do you think? Is he also into me but avoids it due to distance or he just sees me as a friend? Someone helpppp

In January 2025 I was chatting to a man briefly on an app. I liked him and he suggested meeting up. Things were going fine, we talked about expectations etc. prior to meeting. He also mentioned that he’d had a stillborn baby in his last relationship. It left me speechless but I offered a lot of empathy. After that admission, he retreated a few days later and said he didn’t see us going anywhere, which contradicted everything we’d chatted about and our similar values.

Fast forward to September, he reached out again and we ended up chatting for a couple of months every day. He arranged a date with me. The pace was slower this time, we didn’t jump right into talking about the serious stuff. Consistency was there, he was incredibly kind. We met for the first date and it was nice. We laughed, he told me a little more about what he’s been through (loss of brother, rehab, stillborn baby, loss of partner, rehab and then turning his life around). We made physical contact and hugged and he told me I looked lovely. He arranged a second date before the first ended and I met him again. We chatted a bit more, not too much in-depth but enough for me to know he liked me. We admitted we liked and were attracted to each other. We hugged again and before that date was over he arranged the third. We met for our third and went to the cinema. When he said goodbye I could feel more closeness in his hug and goodbye. This time he never arranged a fourth date.

I noticed more intimacy in his replies after this date and he said he hadn’t been sure whether to kiss me. I said I was happy for that to unfold naturally. But after the kiss question? I noticed a slight stall, things weren’t moving. When I asked if he still had time for dating, he deflected the question back to me and side-stepped. Basically saying we’d been busy and that distance doesn’t help along with us not being ‘excited’ to talk to each other. A bizarre reply, because it contradicted his actions completely.
