Well in the school I went to girls had to wear office clothes and men had to wear suits, everyone had simple easy to understand guidelines that were fair for all but some people still weren't happy, thats why I think uniforms for all schools is the best policy
hmm office clothes and suits, that is actually a new one (that I haven't heard of) maybe it is the best option... like I know uniforms but I didn't know that some schools require work attire... may i ask what state you are from.. or country?
The UK, basicly some girls didn't like it because some teachers said that some tops showed too much cleavage or their shirts were too short, frankly they were wearing clothes that wouldn't be accepted at an office, The other problem is that especially for guys it is really expensive as you must wear a full suit with tie everyday
Not sure what high school you attend but girls were allowed to wear yoga pants tank tops and other sleeveless shirts at our school and guys weren't allowed to have their underwear show. Sounds like you just attend a school that doesn't like women
girls are allowed too and so are guys, but around the country schools are making it some rule where u shouldn't be allowed to wear tank tops and yoga pants
I don't know maybe it's a big deal for some people. I went to private school until my junior year of high school so we actually had a dress uniform and not code which was strictly very modest for both guys and girls so I never felt like there was much to any repression of clothing when I went to public school because just wearing jeans seemed so relaxed on school code to me.
Schools should just have uniforms, people obviously can't handle a basic dress code.

My school doesn't have a dress code. As long as your clothes don't promote sex drugs or violence, you're good. Girls can wear yoga pants and short shorts and crop tops. No big deal.

For any women with big boobies. No matter how big the shirt is. Nothing can hide them so they will always be distracting. For me Just seeing their arms and necks is distracting. What the teacher wears is distracting. Again everything is distracting. Though the school can't really ban everything and blind fold everyone so they can't see. :D
Yeah the tank tops and workout shorts ban is dumb, but other than that, there's not much that guys can wear that should violate a dress code.

Back at my high school it was reverse, guys couldnt wear tank tops or shirts that were too short, butgirls could wear almost whatever they pleased. This wouldn't be a problem accept during the 100 degree heat with high humidity!

No not allowed, if a guy did he would be sent home with detention/suspension.
In my school guys would get in trouble if they wore their pants below their waist, hell I even watch this kid get in trouble because of it. So it very much exist for guys.
hmm were guys told to change into one of those heavy sweatshirts or sweat pants given by the schools... b/c those are the punishments for many schools for girls
He started to get mad and got ISS, and I think a belt would be the better reaction for pants going below the waist. But with girls wearing booty shorts, unless she has a pair of pants with her or her parents willing to come to school to drop off clothing, having her wear sweat pants would be the best solution.

Boys do have a dress code, maybe if you read the school handbook instead of complaining online you would have known that.
And I hope you realize that guys don't care how you dress, you look the same everyday to us. Its just a scapegoat so the school can stop you from dressing like a whore, apparently they can only try.

Yeah I never said they dont have a dress code, I even specified the type of clothing guys are allowed to wear such as tights/athletic wear whereas with a girl it is deemed as "inappropriate"... and I hope you understand most girls do not dress on a daily basis for their male companions interest... finally dressing like a whore? umm maybe if you came in only an underwear and a bra, but wearing shorts, tanks, and tights should not mean whore... actually the definition of whore is a prostitute so you are saying that wearing these types of clothing is asking for it?
Do you know what a scapegoat is? Anyway, I dont know where you live but at least here it is only girls who wear tight fitting clothes. I have yet to see any guy in yoga pants. I've seen girls come to school with their asses hanging out of their shorts and some of them are barely wearing a shirt sometimes. Guys cannot wear anything without sleeves, must cover their armpits and obviously no booty shorts. But most guys dont have a problem following the dress code so you dont hear about it. And yes, they dress like whores. can't say the shoe doesn't usually fit either.
