Today is my birthday, and in honor of that, I thought I'd write about all the things people with November through December birthday's hear every year. We totally get the shaft from friends, family, school, everyone. I cannot tell you how many summer birthdays I've gone to, and how many surprise parties and regular parties I have planned for friends and family, but let my birthday in December roll around, and suddenly everyone disappears into the wind with every excuse under the sun. I'm at least lucky enough that my birthday is just a ways after Thanksgiving, and thankfully some weeks before Christmas, but in the world of birthdays, the Nov-Dec kids totally get screwed! Here is what we have to hear every year...

- We'll just write Happy Birthday on the leftover dessert instead of buy a new cake
- It's too cold to host a swim party
- We can't have a party there, they'll be closed
- Here is your Birthday/Christmas present, or your Birthmas present
- Let's just wait until the family is here to have your party, it'll save time
- We just had this big family party, everyone is too exhausted to go out today
- Sorry, I can't come, I gotta save up for Christmas presents
- Sorry, I'm broke, but I got you this card
- Was your party today?!?
- We can use the Thanksgiving decorations as your party decorations
- It's too cold for an outdoor party
- Sorry, everyone is going on vacation soon
- Sorry, everyone is on vacation right now
- Sorry, no one is back from vacation yet
- Everyone just had a big party, no one want to come to another one so soon
- How about having your party next month
- I have to study for finals, I can't make it to your party
- Why do we need pizza, when we have all these leftovers
- Don't get greedy, Christmas presents are enough
- We're snowed in, no one's coming
- We're iced in, no ones coming
- It's Thanksgiving/Christmas, not just your birthday, we have other priorities today
- We just figured, might as well use the Christmas wrap
- Shouldn't you be studying for finals instead of partying
- Sorry, I'll be with my family all day
- It must suck to have a birthday now
- At my summer party, I had this, and that, and this and....
- The venue charges extra to put the heat lamps outside
- All the venues are booked for Holiday parties already
- Can we postpone your party
- Look you can either have your party now, or not at all, we won't have time later
- We totally forgot about your birthday, but you understand right
- I'm already double booked on parties, maybe next year okay
- Don't you just love that everythig is always already decorated during your birthday
- Happy Belated Birthday

Haha. Happy Birthday Bee, first of all. :)
I'm a November baby but it's early in the month, so October through January 1 just feels like a bunch of fun occasions and holidays to me. :) I guess an early November birthday is just far enough away from Thanksgiving and Christmas to feel totally like its own thing. I can imagine that it would be very different if your birthday is actually BETWEEN Thanksgiving and Christmas. And oh boy if your birthday is ON one of the major holidays!
Still, my neighbor's birthday is September 11 (yikes), and that might be the worst of all.
Enjoy your birthday! :)
My former boss had a Sept 11 birthday. Even now, people hear that and go, wow, that is awful. Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a good one this year :o)
Happy birthday to you!!
Have made also a mytake about people with birthdays in December
do you have a link to it?
You can see it when you go to my page
Considering most of these have to do with winter I get almost none of these.
But you got the non-weather related ones pretty spot on.
I was born in November.
(I'm in Aus so Nov is spring and Dec summer)
