Finally someone fucking said! I'm sorry but most black people who bitch are the ones who never experience slavery so stop using your ancestors pain and grief to gain something from it. You don't see Jews doing this about the holocaust do you?
Wow this wasn't what I was expecting and I'm glad I read everything you had to say. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing that with everyone.
All races and ethnicities have been enslaved. Get over it.
Exactly. People think that only blacks were enslaved.
That's the past, and still today some people feel like they're still being enslaved.
It's easier to act like a victim instead of acting like an adult.
@AleDeEurope It's easier to act stupid then to think.
@DabieberRoyalty Exactly, that's why you're here ;)
@AleDeEurope that doesn't make sense but I'm just going to presume that you were formulating some kind of comeback that somehow is as deflated as the logic that was unfortunately gifted to you. But to answer your silly statement, no I'm here out of interest.
@DabieberRoyalty Mhm I'm the dumb one here, not the one who can't understand other people's comments. You're right, sweetheart :-*
@AleDeEurope why would waste time understanding something that looked like it came out of the mouth of an illiterate boy.
@DabieberRoyalty He can obviously read what you're saying, so he's not illiterate.
here's a cookie for effort.
@DabieberRoyalty But you're wasting your time replying xD Keep going, you're just lowering yourself more and more. Still can't believe you didn't get what I was saying xD Oh boy, you're ridiculous.
Things like these shouldn't even be on this site, this is a girl ask guys guys ask girls site, not a political debate, put this elsewhere, not on a site like this, this is the reason I avoid Facebook like a virus.
If it isn't your race, you should tell them to get over something. Regardless of what is being talked about. It's not your place.
Don't you just love it when people don't read a take AT ALL?
I am not speaking on the take, I'm referring to people in general who feel the need to tell other races. I assume that's why people click on titles like that. It's right up their alley, and to their surprise it's not what they thought. This take itself is great. When I say 'your' I don't actually mean you. I am black myself, of course I like the take. I'm talking to assholes, not you.
Yep. Pretty much every race on the planet had slavery. but... people like having excuses to complain.
Slavery should never be forgotten. This is a ignorant discussion. You learn from the past. The pay can affect the present and future. How will we learn and grow, if we forget it?
And you would be person number 10 I've had to tell to actually read the take. Read. The. Take. Don't just read the title.
We haven't forgot salvery but the mytakeowner is talking about the people who uses this excuse now a days to get pity from others has to stop.
@NatashaJ who ever uses slavery as an excuse? No one ever. I just don't agree with the sentiments of this post. Simple. She's assuming I didn't read because I disagree.
Actually Anon, you didn't read it, because if you did, you'd know your comments make no sense given what I ACTUALLY wrote. But go ahead and tell me again, how you read my take.
It's not like white people were ever slaves or anything either
All races kept slaves all throughout history.
Most of the American slaveships and American slave-markets were run by Jews. But no one blames modern Jews. Because if anyone today says anything was “run by Jews”, they’re immediately dismissed as a crazy anti-Semite, regardless of whether or not it’s true.
When the Trans-Atlantic slaveships docked at African slave-markets to buy slaves, they bought slaves who were already slaves. It was Arab Muslims and Black Africans themselves who captured members of rival tribes and took them to the coastal slave-markets to sell to the Whites and Jews. White people didn’t go into Africa and kidnap free black people.
In the 16th – 18th century, Africans enslaved 1.5 million White Europeans in the Barbary Slave Trade. African Muslims raided up the coastlines of Europe, particularly
@Kyle123 A lot of those white slaves also had their genetalia removed so they could not reproduce
Hmmm, does that mean that we should get over the war and the Jews get over the Holocaust.
you are probably the 6th person I've had to tell to actually read the take.
I did read the take.
then why the comment?
Why not, what is the point of you posting this if you didn't want people to comment, it is clear what im on about, you think the blacks should forget about slavery but does that mean that the war should be forgotten and other historical injustices.
*Sigh* once again, did you actually read the take?
Like the other 6, you appear to have only read the title... hence, my question, why the comment if you read the take?
I stand by what i say though, that we should not forget any historical differences.
Again, if you'd read the take, I'm not sure why your first comment was directed at me.
Slavery will never be forgotten it's still important. I am proud to say my ancestors had no part in this and that they were in Crotia.
I wouldn't say they should forget slavery. But the fact that this generation of people didn't deal with it means they have a lot to be appreciative about.
How about getting purged from voter roles in 2016, do they need to get over that?
Why would they need to get over that?
I was sarcastically pointing out that institutional racism is alive and well in 2016
Should they dwell on it? No, but it still shouldn't be forgotten.
As the old saying goes, if you forget your past you might repeat it.
exactly
Shit happens, life's a struggle, get over it and move on.
This isn't one of those times when you say shit happens mate.
Yes, let's all remain bitter and focus exclusively on the pass, let's all reminisce about how horrible life was and how we should perceive the world through such a perspective that has now passed us in place of a brighter tomorrow, shit happens so get over it.
past*
@T-shirtsandkneehighs
Acknowledge it, understand it, and be better than it, enough said.
I would invite you to re-read my last paragraph. You say that we should all remain bitter, but I am by no means bitter. If I were bitter this would be a rant about how everything is the fault of people 400 years ago, but if you read the last, you'd know that I very much speak of the present and ways in which we need to work together to unify. Slavery still exists mind you, so the past hasn't just disappeared, but you can never fully hope to change the sins of the present by just ignoring what's right in front of you or denying its very existence. Does racism exist in 2016, yes, slavery, yes, discrimination, yes, hate groups, yes. These are not things of just 400 years ago, but present day. I am by all means glad I am not in chains, but does that help you, in your mind to excuse those in present day who are still racist, and still discriminate because they do not bear a whip in hand? Perspective friend. History is a teacher to us all.
I was being sarcastic.
I am just saying we should acknowledge and understand everything, and move past our evil's for something good and thereby great (er).
Well, the suffering and the unfortunate plight of others aren't really a time for sarcasm. I understand that you may feel as though everyone should perhaps forgive and forget and move on to greener pastures, but when you or someone else is still at the brunt of discrimination and racism, they know more than most, that there is still a lot of work to do so that they may arrive at those greener pastures. I try my best not to live a life in anger and to help educate people so that they don't become either bitter towards the world or part of the hate, but that requires the work of all, an understanding of both past and present, so that there is a better future. I hope that somehow you are able to understand where I am coming from.
Acknowledge and understand it? As if you know what the fuck you're talking about? You couldn't even begin to understand what black people have to deal with on a day to day basis, so don't tell us to move on from something that's still happening
@T-shirtsandkneehighs
First, understanding it implies it's physical nature, and that is all to easily done.
Second, Acknowledging it's nature through it's narrative is and has already been done, now simply needs to be accepted as the standard for which we acknowledge.
The rest of your ignorant statements are not at present worth addressing.
God you're dense
Following this logic, americans would need to get rid of their national anthem.
Come on why did you start this topic? To rage war?
No. People are allowed to discuss history and its ramifications. People are often too afraid to do this in a setting with mixed races present, so this allows people to dialogue freely and spread information and education.
Only if they stop chasing trannys
slavery is still happening
yes it is
I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole...
This is so much ignorance condensed.
