So going on year long waitlists just to receive treatment for the most basic of conditions is good? I don't think so. Here in the States I can call my private doctor and have an appointment within a week.
And here in Finland I can book a session with a doctor within the same day... plus I don't have to pay for any of it. Dunno what waitlists you're talking about.
@lumos it's not fair to look at U. S.'s vs Europe and than only look at Finland's healthcare, remember we're comparing Europe to the U. S., not just Finland.
@lumos for instance in Greece a family has to travel over an hour or more because the hospital where they live only accepts patients 2 or 3 times a week. “The family traveled to Evangelisimos from Glyfada, which is around an hour away, because their local hospital wasn't accepting new patients. Hospitals in Greece often have a policy of only accepting patients on "emergency days," two or three times a week. If it's not the right day, people who need medical attention have to travel to a different hospital."
@Miezko Due to how Europe has a lot of countries ranked in the top 10 for health cares. That raises their median for what I meant about most health cares are in Europe.
false prices - actually the US shows the actual true price. Europe only sees the cost plus tax. Europe's method is really just way to hide you are paying a ridiculous amount of tax on everything
healthcare - I have never heard of American going to Europe for heathcare but its fairly common for people to come to get treated. If i want to see my doctor i could within a day or two at most and hospital care almost immediately, aren't there significant waits there?
Can you choose not to pay the tax? If you can't then your point is totally invalid.
Yes people do often have to wait, but what do you do if you don't have the insurance or money to get treatment, wouldn't you have to wait until you'd earned enough money?
I think we are just calling cost something different. to me cost is what something is actually worth. Whatever extra the government puts on top of that is separate.
Doctors and hospitals are required to give you care regardless if you can pay or not. This where your point is "invalid", "free" heathcare or whatever is supposedly better about European heathcare is completely pointless if you don't have access to it when you need it.
Doctors and hospitals are only required to give healthcare when you cannot afford it if it is a full emergency. So many people who cannot afford healthcare in the USA have to wait till they are bout to die to get care. That is not better. And it is not free. The cost is then passed on to other patients.
Lol for the love of boobs stop tip shaming I am dead XD. But yeah I agree except with the Metric system I actually like the U. S. measurement rules. And yes health care laws in America need to change.
the imperial system does have two advantages. 1: it's perfect for cooking and recipies. 2: metric be like "I need to see how long this thing is, let me just pull out my walking stick."
Imperial in cooking is in multiples of 16. No, wait, multiples of 12. Now, for others it is multiples of 4. In other words, it really sucks. Metric is all multiples of 10. Easy.

@Miezko and nor are we comparing the US to Greece so what's your point again?
@lumos that there's both extremes, sorry if that wasn't clear.
I want more Holidays...

Fantastic Take, I agree on all the points, I would also add, unlike USA, Europe is not so thrilled about GMO food.
I agree but that'll all change when the Muslims take it over. lel
I could give you a ton of things the U. S. does better.
True.
By the way, the immigrant crisis in Europe is result of the US intervention in other countries.
True. It's starting to feel like the Night's Watch out here.
I have to disagree wtih two
false prices - actually the US shows the actual true price. Europe only sees the cost plus tax. Europe's method is really just way to hide you are paying a ridiculous amount of tax on everything

have you ever been to the hospital emergency room? I promise you there are plenty of people who can't pay that get care that are not dieing.
Actually not dieing because you can't get heath care is fairly common in Europe, not so much in the US.
Lol for the love of boobs stop tip shaming I am dead XD. But yeah I agree except with the Metric system I actually like the U. S. measurement rules. And yes health care laws in America need to change.
I agree with most of those, not the tipping one though.
I have been in the US for a year and I still don't understand the imperial system...
I thought about these things too 😂
And OMG you what Grade too? He's the man!
Watch***
The metric system isn't just used in Europe. It's used in basically every country on Earth except for 3.
Vacation time... just work for a few years and then buy land in the middle of nowhere USA. boom. retired.
Fuck the metric system. I don't know it and I don't want to know it.
Good take. USA is going down the drains and it's happening QUICKLY
Dont forget languages. We speak multiple languages.

I agree with the tips one. What do girls in Europe do besides live off tips?
Lmao isn't Europe about to collapse soon? 😊
That's only because their closer to the middle east than the USA. I have my own personal thoughts on that but I would get a lot of hate for it. :D
You forgot one : gun control.
