I believe most people equalize “Like” button with “I read it”. But actually they are different. A “I read it” button, should be included in such cases.
On a hospital photograph of a person…

Hospital photographs are silly as they are in my opinion. If, God forbid, I was in a hospital, the last thing I would think is taking a photo, to post it on my social media accounts. By liking it, it seems being twice silly.
On the death of a person…

It’s like saying, I’m happy that he/she died. It doesn’t make sense, unless you really hated that person.
Photos of slaughtered animals…

Ironically, this comes from people who claim they love animals, and those posts are usually about animal brutality and such. I’m not so animal-friendly myself to be honest, but clicking “Like” on such photos, makes people believe you are a psychopath and you get satisfaction of seeing such photos.
When a bad event is going to occur in your area

Imagine seeing an announcement saying, A Hurricane is going to strike your area and you click “Like”…in other words you are like, Woo-hoo! A Hurricane is going to destroy my house and my whole neighborhood! Yeah!
When someone is insulting you, or a beloved person of yours

No comment. It gives the impression to your “opponent” that you are so much retarded, getting satisfaction from insults.
When someone posting a song whether you like it or not

I don’t know why people posting random songs without any particular reason, and I don’t know why you should like something just because your friend posted it.
When you like, just EVERYTHING…

I mean every single post you read. Do such people even read the posts they like?
