Ancient Egypt was culturally less influenced by other countries due to the Sinai desert, so ancient Egyptian culture is amazing and filled with secrets for us.

1. Men were doing make-up like women

Had a holiday in Luxor in Egypt. Absolutely fascinating place. So much history on your doorstep. Didn't visit Cairo. Went on a Nile Cruse foer a week as well. The tour guide, an Egyptian was fantastic. we could read simple cartouches when he was finished with us. The one thing he pointed out that showed how knowledgeable ancient Egyptians were was the original colours that remained in some of the temples. They were still pristine. Many "experts" have tried to copy them. No one has ever succeeded. All have faded. While the originals have lasted for thousands of years.
