Ukraine's armed forces have kicked Russia out of Kherson, they have not kicked them out of Ukraine. I get frustrated when I hear mainstream 'experts' saying 'it might be time to negotiate'. That is what Putin wants. He needs time, and Zelensky must deny him.

In the meantime, Ukraine advances to the Dnipro. They will set up their long-range artillery and force Russia back from the south bank of the river. HIMARS and 155mm ammo will hold the advantage here. The Red Army is in disarray they have lost huge numbers of trained soldiers and their replacements would rather surrender.

There is no immediate need for Ukraine to cross the river but they will need to secure the Kherson dam at some point. I anticipate a concentration in Luhansk where Ukraine can outflank the Russian defences in Donetsk.

The Red Army is retreating but not yet defeated. They must be finished off, - and then they must pay for their crimes. They must be eternally sorry they invaded a sovereign state, looted homes and murdered Ukrainian people.

Now is not the time to 'negotiate'. Now is the time to increase the military pressure so that Ukraine can recover all of their lands, - permanently!

It Putin wants negotiations, first his armed forces must all go home!

They shouldn't have invaded I the first place. They've been shown to be weak militarily and economically. It's cost them so much and they've not gained anything from it.

I agree with a U. S. colonel who pointed out the cost of Ukraine retaking such territory made it more advantageous for Russia to let them have it at this time. The Kill ratio is favoring Russia, and being a larger country that means Russia is eventually just going to walk over Ukraine, something that is expected to happen as soon as the fighting season of next year.

@TheFlake38 Not if the Ukraine can't replace the large number of solders they are losing in theses battles. Right now they are losing more than the Russians and have only a fraction of what the Russians have available to lose.

Russia only 'loses' when Russian leaders decide its no longer in their interest to 'win'. Given the Russians are building a far larger force for a full scale attack on the Ukraine they seem to think it is in their interest to 'win'.

Russia has had far more casualties and lost the majority of heavy equipment. Russian soldiers who have been forced into service are reluctant and resentful. Se already see it. Many desert once they've reached the front. Others resist conscription. This poor motivation increases as the weather gets worse and casualties continue to rise. Taking the working population away from their jobs creates a huge hole in the already failing Russian economy. Russians with qualifications have already fled the country, so there is going to be a problem finding officers who can lead and administer newly created formations. They cannot equip, clothe and house a whole new army when they are losing the war right NOW! By the time these mobilisation measures have been dealt with all of Ukraine will be free and the Ukrainian army will be able to stop them at the borders.
