Personally, I have friends I've know since I was five. Buddies that have been apart of my life for decades where as the longest relationship I've had lasted for about a year. The way I see it relationships tend to to come and go but friends seem to last.

So for me it's Bros before hoes/Chicks before dicks every day all day...

"friends come and go" - for me they don't. My friends are my family, and I put family first.

But really, I don't see why you should have to choose anyway. You can easily balance friends and an SO.

A phrase used out of context.

It applies only in certain situations... when a girl/guy you are talking to or are with is not really important to you. They are just casuals... then you choose your friend over this 'partner'.
