Do attractive people get called ugly and unattractive people get called pretty?

I don't know if this is true, but it's what I've heard. People never tell attractive people that they are attractive but they tell unattractive people that they are pretty. Is this true?

Yes and no... Let me explain.

Attractive people are told they are attractive a lot by strangers, people that like them, etc. People that tell attractive people they are unattractive are unnattractive people beciae they're jealous. Also attractive people tell themselves they're unattractove because many of them have low selfesteem.

Unattractive people are told they are attractive by their family and kind people that doesn't have the heart to tell them. Unattractove people that are followers/best friends to an unattractive person will tell them they're attractive beciase of course they think they're attractive. The only people that will call an unattractove person unattractive is someone rude/bitch.

Attractive people get called ugly by people who are jealous of them and want to knock them down or they genuinely believe they're ugly because beauty is subjective, despite most people finding them attractive.

Unattractive people get called pretty to make them feel better about themselves, especially if they openly say they think they're ugly or they've always been teased because of the way they look. I rate people honestly. I won't give someone 10/10 just to be kind, if I feel they're more like a 4. I try to avoid those questions anyway.

I usually have a positive answer with rate me questions 'cause I think thoae who are asking how pretty they are are a bit conscious about how they look so I give them good answer no matter how they look. I never call someone ugly unless she has a terrible personality. Sometimes unattractive people are called pretty especially by someone who really like them. So, yes that happens. No matter how attractive a person can be if you don't like that person you will never call her/him attractive.

Yes it happens all the time. If a man is angry at one woman he might take it out on other woman who had nothing to do with the situation and did not contribute to his hatred of woman or if he wants to humble a woman who he thinks is better off than him. Jealousy isn't restricted to same gender people these days and never ask a girl if you look pretty cause when the girl is super good looking about 30 - 40% will lie about it and say she is ugly out of jealousy.

Technically, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but on this website specifically, people are extremely deceptive when it comes to rating looks. I tend to give them a piece of my mind, I tell them that I don't like their mascara at all but otherwise they look right or I think their nose is a bit off. Not that they can change it anyways, I'm pretty sure my dislikes are someone else's fetish, so who cares?

Yea... Some times... Like when someone is passed at you might call you ugly... Or when some one likes you or cares might say your pretty while you aren't really.

uhm, attractive people get told how hot they are all the time, particularly if they have a Facebook page. I have this friend who gets 300 likes per photo on Facebook, so hot girls are getting their fair share off attention, trust me

Because everyone has a different sense of who's attractive to them and who's not. If I find someone very attractive, someone else will think they're not so attractive, and vice versa.

Beauty is subjective so yes than can happen depending on what area you live in. For example one city might prefer a certain hair color or body shape
