Rejected by girl, because she has boyfriend but situation is weird...

So I asked this girl out the other day for dinner and she said she couldn't because she had a bf...i was like whatever but she said "but I can introduce you to my friends...maybe you'll get invited out to a dinner or something". I said "alright what's your number?" and I got it. I've been helping her out with some college work and before I asked her out I told her I could help her if she needed it. I'd rather just be friends and not go back on what I promised (but maybe she wants me to just leave her alone lol). The other day she friended me on facebook so I'm kinda confused if I should call her or not to tell her I can still help her with school if she needs it (as a friend)...or should I just not call her?

This situation is not weird, you're just really into her and seeing things that aren't there.

I'll clear it up for you. You have received two major signs that girls do when they don't like you in that way.

1. She said she had a boyfriend.

- Regardless of whether this is true or not, she has told you this to tell you that she's not available for you.

2. She is trying to set you up with her friends

- If she liked you, she wouldn't give you away. If you hook up with one of her friends, you will stop bugging her.

Question answer - I'd definately go for her friends. If she trusts you you've already scored points with them. Who knows what the future may hold (ps. it's usually good stuff).
