What to do in a scenario where a girl who rejected you on multiple occasions , asks you to be her boyfriend?

So there's this girl who I really liked around 5 years back and she liked me to back then but rejected me since she was with another guy already. She broke up with that guy some time later and I asked her out again but she rejected me and started talking to another guy who she really liked ( I suppose ). Post that , I was just like a very good friend to her and nothing more. I stopped feeling for her the way I used to in the past but I still care for her as a good friend. As days went by , she started liking another guy who I suppose didn't like her back. Recently she tried to get back to her ex ( I suppose ) but he was already in a relationship with another person. A month later she tells me she wants to be with me. I don't really have the same strong feelings as before and I told her that. I didn't give a deep reason but I just told her I want to be by myself. Did I do the right thing?

Yes, remove her from your life completely. She just wanted to use you now because she’s lonely, she couldn’t see your value back then and she hasn’t changed at all. If you had agreed it would’ve been a short relationship and she’d have likely lined someone else up before jumping ship. She is toxic.

Of course. When you liked her, you were an option. She shouldn't have expected that to always be the case. One guy dated a girl, then they broke up, she gained weight and dated another guy and then wanted to get back together with him despite that she gained over 100 lbs. and he didn't find her attractive anymore. I'd do just what she did to me.
First I'd accept. Then I'd change my mind and tell her "I don't think we should go out". Then I'd wait a little while and tell her I just don't think about her in that way. Then if we remained friends. I'd wait a long while and out of the blue when we do something as "friends" arrogantly tell her at the last minute i don't think we should because I wouldn't want to lead her on as though I thought she was still pineing for me.
