(under 18 only please) Why do adults have such narrow stereotypical views on teens?

Everything on the list. Just because their friend's daughter's BFF forever's (i dunno?) trasporter's daughter's (whatsoever) and the list goes on, fits into one of the stereotypes they automatically classify EVERY SINGLE TEEN THEY SEE as that!! It's so annoying and it's an insult. Not everyone is a Directioner or Belieber!! And look, teens DO work hard. Have they heard of Beth? She is like a million times more successful than the average adult. What is wrong with them.

Because while there are certainly exceptions, most teenagers are vapid idiots.

Humans only really become intelligent, sentient beings capable of fully understanding the world around them once they hit about 25 years of age.

1. "You're all addicted to social media." - Oh hey. True. But so are a lot of adults.
2. "You have no idea what ~real music~ is." - And then references Taylor Swift. Good job selling the point.
3. "When I was your age, we actually had to work hard. Teens these days are all lazy." - Clearly not true. Teens have always been lazy, even decades ago.
4. "All you do is take selfies all day." - You guys ARE selfie-obsessed, as a whole.
5. "You kids these days are always up to no good." - I'll agree that this one is rude, and false.
6. "You're just too young to understand anything about life." Slightly hyperbolic. Clearly, you understand SOME things about life, but one day you'll understand just how little you actually knew.
7. "Why are all teens obsessed with Justin Bieber and One Direction?" - And another Taylor Swift reference. Again. well done.
8. "You wouldn't last a day without your phones." - This is hyperbolic, and in the hyperbolic sense, it's absolutely true. And neither would I.
9. "When I was your age, we helped others. You kids only care about yourselves."- Well, this is bullshit. Teens have always been selfish pricks, Nothing new here.
10. "Teens can't even write anymore. What is LOL, ROTFL, TMI, TBH, SMH?" - The writer of this article thinks all adults are 70. That's cute.
11. "Teens dress so inappropriately these days!" - And a poodle skirt reference to back my previous statement up. How convenient.

I know right? They only hear the bad things and then they go classify us without listening to anything :/ And when I'm listening to Ed Sheeran then my parents are like "Turn the Bieber down" and that is so insulting. I'm not even a Belieber!!

Ok bieber is proven to be deported and anyone who is still a follower of him is just sad, no offense to anyone that is but. And our parents were just as bad as we are now anyways, some just want us to turn out better than they did.
